Interesting.
The only thing I like about what I've seen is that first class will be up to 15.99 oz. I can't tell you how many times I've weighed and priced PM shipping for 14.8 oz items LOL!

I really like first class going up to 15.99 oz. That will save buyers quite a bit.
I hated having to ship something that was 13.5 oz as PM.

The post office was ordered quite awhile ago to roll back regular first class letter to 46 cents, because the raise to 49 cents was only allowed as an emergency and the governing bodies said that they raised enough with the emergency hike and need to put it back to where it was. I guess this is to make up for that...

Interesting comment on that thread:
Delivery Confirmation is now called "Tracking"
BUT seems to still be Delivery Confirmation
Copy & Paste from USPS site >>
If you shipped with Express Mail®, you’ll get point-by-point tracking details. If you used another service—USPS Tracking™, Certified Mail™, Registered Mail™ —you’ll see when it went out for delivery.
I wonder if eBay will try to negotiate better pricing? Right now, it's the Commercial Base Plus which the USPS says they want to get rid of. eBay is making money off of it right now, since they only extend the lowest discounted pricing to a select few.

Them wanting to drastically increase or get rid of the Commercial Base Plus is the one that worries me. But increasing the FCP weight limit would be a welcome change.

Yep, I just had to mail something Priority today that weighed 13.6 ounces.
Was't worth the chance that it would get weighed somewhere along the way and the buyer would get hit for postage due.

They announced today that they are going to have immediate notification when something is delivered. That will be nice if they can get it working.

OK, I have to ask. WTH is Fed Ex/UPS raising their shipping surcharge? I though the price of gas (AND diesel) is down, and has been for most of the year. So why the hike? Why not just be honest about it and raise the damn ship cost rate?
