I've torn my tie storage shelf apart and can't find it. So if it's still missing tomorrow, I'll hang my head and send an email of shame. But ya know what? It won't be a freakin' defect!! It's crazy how much more relaxed I am about the whole thing without the threat of eBay interfering in the transaction, even tho I'm still franticly searching for the tie. What a difference!

So, you sold it somewhere other than Ebay?

Yes, it sold on Etsy but it's not in the storage bin where it belongs. I swear I've got pixies or elves moving my stuff around. : ( Now I'm on break from tearing apart my sewing room where the photo was taken; somehow it disappeared in the 10' between the room and storage. Wish me luck!

Good luck I hope you find it before you have to write the email of shame. I've done it, didn't enjoy it LOL

I hate the feeling when that happens. Hope you find it!

Uggh, never found it. I sent the humble apology email last night. Woke up to, "gee, that's a disappointment but I understand, let me know if it turns up." All very civilized without jackbooted thug-bots marking me as a defective seller. I'll try harder to organize things better but mistakes do happen.

Even very large retailers sometimes fail to fill an order. Pier 1 (who I love) cancelled 2 orders on me, each within 2 weeks (not days) after I ordered and paid. Simple explanation: We ran out of stock and we don't hold orders so we refunded and you will need to call in a re-order in about a month. They did apologize, I accepted it and was disappointed, but understood. Saks, they did the same sort of thing once and another time sent me the wrong merchandise in a huge way 1 T-short was sent when the order was 9 pair of shoes! The point is, who the hell is eBay to chastise us like bad little children for occasionally not being able to fill an order? It happens to the best of them.
