Mandy went with her sisters back to the rescue because she is scheduled for her spay on Tuesday. Two other Russian Blue kittens and a Meezer kitten wanted to come back with me but I need to get these adult fosters arranged before I take any more kittens.
Yes, I saw China and she was having a ball with the other cats in the adoption area. I so wish she would find her home but she is having fun while she is waiting.
Jelly, you are right. I definitely deserve some cupcakes for these adoptions.

We can only hope. I think it might be a little early for them.
They are probably going to put out some spice or pumpkin ones if they do any at all.

Molly and Mazie were preadopted today. Only 2 adoptions that were done so I am 3 for 3 on my kittens getting adopted in the last 2 weeks. Nice adopters. They had both adopted another kitten from the same rescue this year. Now decided that their cat needed a friend. p People really need to listen when they are told to just take two together.

Nope, next time I adopt I'm going to do exactly as I did last time - get one kitten then get it a friend a year later. I want them to bond with ME first, then each other.

We got two from the same litter and it worked - they've bonded with us - I think it's because from the same litter they've already got that inborn bond, so they bond as a pair to their pack leaders, which we fool ourselves into thinking is us.

Uh Kritter, what's a Meezer kitten?

A meezer is a Siamese.

Thanks, Poppy.
Those were some major cute kittens for sure.
I am keeping a low profile with the rescue because I am kind of "kittened out" now and need a break to get the local cats ready for fall/winter.
I have an adult medical foster now too that is a hard case to fix. She has been in treatment for a year and it is down to her last option.

Oh Kritter it must be so hard to take care of a medical problem. What is wrong with her and how old is she?

And what's her history? Did some stinker abandon her because of the medical issues?

She is 4 years old and a destructive compulsive groomer.
I was her foster last year around this time when she first started licking her fur off. The shelter called her back from foster around the first part of December to try different treatments which none so far have helped.
They called me around two weeks ago to see if I would foster again and let me know that I could adopt her if I wanted to. They are giving her one last chance to get better.
Don't have much history on her. I can't imagine that the shelter would have taken her with her issues unless she was dumped. I am thinking that she may have developed this compulsive grooming habit from stress from being in a cage at the shelter. Some cats really have a hard time adjusting to shelter life.
I took her to our feline specialist here this week and he gave her a steroid injection and started her on Phenobarbital to try and calm her down to break her of the compulsive grooming. Probably have to adjust her dose when we go in next Tuesday because when I take off her e-collar she does still try and groom herself.

Just saw on FB that Molly went home with her new family last Saturday.
Tried to post a pic but it is in Google Chrome and PB doesn't want to load it.

Just talked to the rescue this afternoon (she is trying to pawn more kittens off on me) and she said that Mandy got adopted last Saturday to a military couple with no children. She was on her way to the vet's office to pick up Mazie who was spayed today. Mazie will go to her home next Saturday. My work here is done.

Aww, take the kitties. We need some new Kritter kitty pic's I'm making some ts rounds tonight so I'll be walking past a petco that has cats up for adoption. It will be interesting to see who's still there and who's new. There's this one that I'd take home with me if it didn't shed. He's cute and lively but omg the fur that cat has is crazy, he has a mane around his neck.

Don't take the kittens. Sabrina and Tippi need a calm break. Especially Tippi (you REALLY need to rename her, LOL).
So does Kritter.
There will always be more kittens.

Don't give in to kittens Kritter.
You still have Kenya too don't you?
You have a house full of sick or crazy fosters and don't need the hassle of kittens right now.

....Yep, Kritter, you and the current herd have earned a break from kittens for a while. And I'm so happy to hear that my favorite little hellion, Mandy, has found a family who recognizes and appreciates her torti-tude!

So far I haven't heard anything back and I am not calling her. One of the kittens in question was a white fluff ball that had just had her last injection for sarcoptic mange and the other was waiting for surgery to remove one of her eyes.
Yes, I still have Kenya, the Tipster (Tippi), and Sabrina.
LOL Sick or crazy fosters, that made me laugh.
We talked about putting Sabrina up on her website and Petfinder account again like we did with Savannah. She offered to take her into one of the Petsmart adoption areas but Sabrina would not do well in that kind of situation. No way could I just drop her off knowing that she would be hanging out in a a cage all the time.
Sabrina has come a long way and I think she would do fine in a one or two person household with no other cats. She is a beautiful girl but she is 12 years old and that is not in her favor.
Same plan with Kenya who is only 4 years old but her hair is taking it's time growing back in.
I am doing my best to stay away from the kittens but I have a hard time turning them down if they have no other option. At least I am sending them on their way when they are ready and not keeping them. Thats a good thing, right?

How's Tippi?
The person I know who has her name is neurotic. Really...Tippi the cat needs a new name...maybe she's hexed by the name.....

LOL Val, I remember that neurotic Tippi and its kinda ironic that this Tippi is off the track too.
She has been named Tippi for at least a year now so hard to change to something else. I will call her the Tipster.
The vet upped her dose of Pheno to 1 1/2 pills twice a day at 12 hour intervals. He wanted to go one pill at 8 hour intervals but I couldn't totally commit to that so are settling with the 12 hour schedule. We just started that for a full day yesterday but so far she seems to tolerate it without any staggering or other side effects. Her wound places are healing nicely but she still has the collar on.

Peeked in Petsmart last night, the cute cross eyed hairy beast was gone. I hope he picked himself a spectacular human that treats him like a king. They had a cute pair of white siamese brothers that they were wanting to keep together and a few other cuties. One was playing and batting around a toy in it's cage.

I didn't know that Sabrina's twelve. I feel more sympathetic now.
I don't know what I'd do if I went to adopt and there was a choice of kittens. When I've adopted there's only been one kitten and I took it. Actually I committed to taking Lydia from just a description over the phone, lol. If there was more than one kitten they'd probably have to call Security to drag me away, kicking and screaming. "My kitties, MINE, I want them all!"
