I think maybe a combination of the size XS and the fact that the size isn't in the title. I'm one of those who won't usually click through to find out what the size is, I'll just skip it.

Me too.
Terrible title on the first one. Just not enough info.
Pair that with the size and they should never have listed it at that starting price.

Yes, you're both right. I just realized she didn't list the actual size, just put xs in the Item Specifics. Even so, someone could have bought it to resell and made some money, although I think the $145 price is very unlikely.

At first I thought maybe they left off a digit.
But they start a lot of stuff at 99 cents, so I guess they are willing to take the chance of getting a bidding war.
Might have worked back in the day, but now it just usually flops.

Agree with all of the above. Also, if yours is made in Great Britain or Ireland, put that in the title. I've sold a fair amount of Vintage LA and I always list it in regular clothing, rather than vintage, price high and wait for the right buyer to come along.

The higher one says 50s Style the lower says 80s. Kind of leads the buyer to think it is from the fifties.

I've noticed that a lot of the higher sales will say 50s style, although they make it clear that the dress is from the 80s. Back in the 80s I didn't think of it as 50s style, but some sellers seem to be marketing them as Rockabilly, which seems like a stretch to me.
Why in the regular clothing category rather than the vintage category? (Yes, it's made in Great Britain.)

I've just been putting pretty much everything in the regular category unless it's some rare iconic era item (not that I have any of those right now). Since they added "true vintage" as an item specific within the vintage category, I think that category has become even more of a joke. I still put vintage in the title.

again, it would be KWS to say "50's style" or even "50's does 80's".
but its rampant.

Thanks, Terri.
Kloset, I don't think eBay cares about kws these days.

I don't think ebay cares about key word spamming or stock pics anymore by the looks of a bunch of the listings.
The Spring updates should be interesting.

The pictures of the first dress look very blah. Maybe it is just the color of the dress or maybe the pictures aren't the greatest.

The higher priced dress had a better description.

And maybe visibility? How many times had it be relisted I wonder (and at what price points).

Also LA isn't sized S/M/L etc and they don't tell you what the actual size is, US or UK. No pictures of the tag to see if it is UK made (although the high selling one wasn't either).
