This cat is something else! She follows me around lately. And my oldest. So tonight I was sewing and she kept "helping". Then I went into the bathroom and the next thing I knew I had a black paw under the door. And no TP but that is another story. I then went downstairs to get more TP and she followed me. She makes this thumping noise as she runs down the stairs. I saw her walk under the Foosball table and think nothing of it. Next thing I know, she is attacking my foot through the plastic drop cloth my husband has on it. Scared me enough that I screamed.  |

I used to have a townhouse when I had my black cat. I'd peek around the corner at the top and duck back. She'd creep up a couple of stairs…peek/creep…repeat…til she got to the top and then I'd pick her up and pet her. One day I thought I'd play a joke and after I peeked the first time, I got down on my knees and peeked from the low level. Unknown to me, she'd bolted up the stairs instead just a few….I peeked right as she hit the top step, and she's looking up. Scared the heck out of both of us.

If Best Cat can't get into the room I'm in she goes outside and meows at the window, very loudly, so all the neighbours will know how neglected she is. When she does this upstairs I have to push a corner of the window screen out and let her in. She can get up there, but she can't be bothered getting down again.

Beautiful kitty! I love black cats. I haven't used the bathroom alone in 9 years thanks to my kitty. I'm so used to leaving the door cracked that I did it recently when we have company over.  |

It's just easier to leave the door open and let them come in. Otherwise you deal with the paws under the door and the yowling.
Have to wonder what secret thing they think you would be doing in there if they didn't watch your every move.
