They showed a much shorter clip on the news and it was great to see the full thing.

I watched the video earlier today after seeing a clip on the news last night, it was so cute! You really gotta watch it with the sound off though, the whiny kid & annoying dad are really obnoxious. I love how the bears play with all the different things. I was amazed that she had 5 cubs, so I looked it up earlier & 6 is the record. 5 is pretty uncommon, but happens.

Oh thank goodness it isn't just me.
I wanted to smack the crap out of that brat.

When I saw the Mama grab the filter thingie for the pool and start jacking with it, I knew the video would be ending immediately because the guy was probably yelling at the bears and running them off.
Tearing up pool toys is one thing but when the mischief moves to pool equipment, game over.

If you go to Youtube & read the comments after the vid, most everyone wants to smack the whiny kid & the whiny dad. Gee, come to think of it, maybe it's not fair to blame the kid. Way to ruin one of the most amazing moments (or 11 minutes) you'll ever have.

I've seen the video on 2 major networks.
If they were smart they would have shopped it out and gotten way more bucks then they needed to replace the pool and the toys if that was such a big deal to them.
To me seeing that amazing scene was worth whatever damage the bears could do. 5 cubs is really something and the way they frolicked in the water and even went down the slide was great to see.

I don't have speakers on my computer since I didn't need them when I had my All In One so I didn't hear the whiny kid and dad. Apparently it was so much better without sound.

Shoot me now. The whiny kid and husband need to go. Absolutely incredible show, which they'll probably never see again, and they're whining about floaties and the pool. Yeah, Dad, I get that pools aren't cheap. They'll be on clearance in a few weeks, if they aren't already. And Sophie? STFU, ok? You can get new floaties. Enjoy the bears. Your chances of ever seeing this again are slim to none. Realize there are more special things in the world that you, 'K?

I'm thinking that Sophie is pretty much always a whiner. You don't get that shrill without a lot of practice. Which is why Mom got sad when her big blue floatie got mauled. I can imagine Mom needing to float on that thing daily with a nice stiff drink in her hand and ear plugs in to get a bit of peace from the whining.

There is a part II after she pulls the pump in. Momma bear decided it was adult swim time and the kids are running rampant in the back yard fighting with one another. It is even funnier than the first part I think. The human kids (there are two) are still whiny and annoying but it is funny as a juxtaposition with the bear cubs who are just as out of control while mom tries to keep calm. The pool didn't collapse and doesn't appear to be leaking. Looks like a totally cheapo - just fabric of some sort on a pvc frame - but the manufacturer could totally license this video to make a Superbowl commercial and Sophie can buy a thousand new floaties.

Love how the Mombear just decides she is done and books it without gathering up the kids.
I can imagine she is at the end of her line with those guys following her around all the time.

The comment I agree with the most...
"The human mother is cool but I would have exchanged the kids for the bear cubs."

More good viewer comments….
"That Mom was absolutely unflappable. I clearly don't have the parent chops she does. Respect."
"Am I the only one impressed by the craftsmanship and rigidity of this PVC pool?"

My daughter yesterday commented how unusual it was for a mother bear to have that many bears at once.
And the kid didn't bother me, I loved the story.
That family will be talking about it for years to come, I am sure!

It's the age. Between a certain age kids whine, it's just they're nature to react to the world with concern all the time. I cut it down by refusing to react to the whining. I remember repeating "I don't speak whine so if you want something you'll have to talk to me in English".
The Bears are cute and I am impressed the pool didn't collapse into a heap of parts.

Yep, that pool took a beating. I was surprised that it didn't collapse.
The pool makers could definitely use that film in a commercial.

Especially the part where the MomBear was standing right on top of the railing with all her weight. I was amazed it didn't collapse.
