Years ago I got a nice Step 2 Splash Away pool from a discount toy store. We got it for our dogs at the time. Sturdy plastic with a plug. Easy to clean.
They stopped making them and they are hard to come by. They were talking of reviving them. The manufacturer decided they were too expensive to ship to the stores, etc.
Today I was headed into work and saw a similar model at someone's curb. Gave hubby a shout and he snagged it. Free! Might need to get a new plug. No big deal. Have a source for that.
it will be a spare or I will use both.

Lucky doggies. Someone gave the little boy two doors down a pool for his birthday in March. It's one of those inflatable ones but big enough that his 6' father can recline in it. They started using it last month, when it was so hot, and that little boy loves it. I said to him, "That was the best birthday present you received this year." His parents agreed.

Mine love the pools. Wish I had a regular pool for them (and me). One of the fun things I do is set up the pool and play Chuckit with the ball launcher. Throw the balls towards the pool and they catch the ball and get cooled off at the same time.

Great idea! You have a few pups right? Couldn't you use two pools or are the pools too big?
My dog won't go near water. He's a retriever but my older dog hated water so he followed. I wonder if he would like a baby pool?

I'm so jealous. We searched all over for those cheap plastic kiddie pools that used to be sold at every store in town. Now they're all inflatable ~ or, not really dog friendly. We finally ended up finding the pools at PetSmart ~ for twice the price as the human version. I'd love one of the bigger, thicker plastic ones with a plug
