Are they ever fair? This is my 2nd neg and knocked me down to 99.7. I would hesitate before buying from someone with my feedback.
It said the quality was poor and it was too small. I didn't make it, J Jill did. I provided all measurements, fabric content, and condition.
I called ebay to try to get it removed and the 3rd person I talked to see about getting it removed said to write the buyer and have them write in the email that it was too small and they would remove it. That they needed "more evidence". I wrote a somewhat snarky email to them. I guess we will see, but I feel like ebay is jerking me around.
Buyer's id is bobo1.2.
I'll add it to the BBL thread too.

You really wouldn't buy from someone with 99.7% feedback? That is 3 issues every 1000 transactions! I don't even look at feedback unless it's in the low 98%.

No, I would check out their feedback though and examine it pretty closely. It wouldn't be an automatic yes.

Delta, I'd certainly buy from you. None of my favorite sellers have 100%. The seller I buy most of my dresses from is 99%. If I feel concerned I read the neutral and negative feedback before buying from a new seller. Most of the time the bad feedback is ridiculous. For instance, a favorite seller has a banner scrolling across her storefront and each listing that hers is not a smoke free home. You can't miss it. Yet she receives neuts and negs from buyers complaining about smoke smells. Sheesh.

I'd buy from you (or any other seller with 99.7%) as well. I've even bought a few things from sellers with less than 99%, after reading the FB. But if they're 99.7 and have several hundred FB, I don't even bother checking it.

That stinks, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you either. Maybe follow-up with another email asking point blank if the main issue was the size?
Dear buyer; After reviewing the feedback left, I am just following up to get a better idea of the main issue. Did the item not fit the way you wanted? X
Maybe they will expand on that, carry on that it made them look horrible or something and you can call back.

I wouldn't worry about the feedback score. I have bought from seller with feedback as low as 97% without a problem. Honestly, I barely pay any attention to feedback scores when I buy something.

Last year I had cause to call USPS Consumer Affairs over a pkg that was not moving. The gal was extremely friendly and I engaged her in conversation about how something like shipping woes can create havoc for sellers ratings. She said she buys on eBay a lot and never looks at any sellers ratings below 99%.
I know it hurts, but you'll get through this just fine, Delta. Keep up the good work!

Thanks all! I knew you would understand. I try So hard, so it hurts when someone doesn't give me a chance to correct something, and hurts even worse when I did nothing wrong!
I did write to her, but I was a little snarky. We'll see if they answer.
Thanks for helping to alleviate my fears!

Clean, I should have just read your comment before I mailed her. Your suggestion was perfect.

No, I would check out their feedback though and examine it pretty closely. It wouldn't be an automatic yes. I was mainly saying that you should worry about 99.7%, it's still VERY good, especially on today's eBay. I'd be much more apt buy from someone who has a few thousand feedback (such as yourself) at 99% or higher than someone who has under 100 feedback at 100%.

I wouldn't pay that kind of feedback any mind either. The only time I go "whoa" is if it is 98 or below.

Your response was perfect.
Anytime I see a neg for sizing issues and the seller has responded with the measurements were in the listing that pretty much negates the neg for me.

When I buy, I don't pay a lot of attention to feedback anymore, probably less than I should. However the little corner off of one of my stars breaks my heart.

It is a shame that this happened to you. It is likely that because it did not fit her and you are a no returns seller she knew that she could not return but had to save face by saying that it was poor quality. Some buyers take no returns at face value. Who knows if she even read your full listing with measurements and disclaimer about your return policy. Probably not. I would still try to get it removed. It really was a fit issue.

Sorry you got stuck with her, Delta.
If I check out feedback before buying, the tone of the complaint and the seller’s response are what makes me decide for or against making the purchase. A calm professional response makes all the difference.

It really stinks that this person would just neg you without trying to work out the issue with you. Your percentage would not even cause me pause to purchase from you.

That feedback wouldn't stop me from buying from you, either. It's awful that someone would leave a neg without contacting you first.

I'm so sorry you got her, but add me to the wouldn't think twice abt buying from a 99.7 seller. I wouldn't even look up their negs/neuts unless it was a huge volume seller.

I'd buy from you, Delta. You had a couple problem buyers, you responded professionally, so a buyer, I'm good with that.
What I hate are sellers who have neuts/negs and either don't bother to respond to them, or respond with a whiney 'Not fair!' sort of comment. Makes me wonder how much of the issue really was that seller's fault.

I purchased from someone that had 60 something fb. New seller that got slammed by a psycho buyer (my take on the fb). Turned out great and judging by the bidding they had at the time their fb sure wasn't dissuading buyers from purchasing.

I am with everyone else who would not hesitate to buy from someone with 99.7%. I dont even look at a sellers feedback unless it is 98% or less either.
Sorry for the neg. I hope you are able to get it removed!

99.7 is still a great fb. I doubt if that will affect your sales.

I would not hesitate for a moment to buy from someone with that feedback. 99.7% is darn close to being perfect. Your response showed that buyer is an idiot, and will actually help draw ATTENTION to the fact that shoppers in your store get a very thorough description.
