I am so tired of paying for cartridges for my printers. I want to get a laser printer and wanted a recommendation. Thanks

I bought a Brother HL 2275DW the other day. I haven't hooked it up yet though so can't say how good it is. It was $79 I think and included the high yield cartridge with it. Think it is suppose to print something like 2,600 pages on one cartridge. One of the main reasons I purchased it was for the wifi printing. Want to set my printer up across the room, also like you tired of replacing little cartridges all the time.

I have a Brother HL 22400 that I have used for several months now and it is great. Don't remember where I got it or how much I paid but knowing me, it was $75 or less.
I also wanted the WiFi printing and so far so good with it.

I saw an ad for Walmart this morning but it did not come with the high yield cartridge?

We use a Brother at work and it's perfectly fine. I have a Samsung at home that work good, but it's older.
I do buy all of my toner on Amazon, because it's MUCH cheaper. I've never had any problems until yesterday, the cartridge isn't working for some reason. I emailed the seller and am awaiting a response. This was a different seller than I normally buy from because he was about $3.00 cheaper. I guess I know why now. I'm going to purchase from the seller I bought from previously in a few minutes.

I actualy replaced a more expensive, complicated and always getting stuck Xerox laser printer with a new one for less than half the old one. I now have an HP Officejet Pro 8610 It is a laser jet and is very ink economical. I joined the ink club so I get automated ink cartridge delivery when it runs low. Its been 6 months and I print plenty. The 1st set of cartridges are still over half full! I paid only $149 on sale at Staples, the salmon recommended it and I just went with it because I had labels to print and another issue with the lousy Xerox one at home. Well, I tossed the Xerox and love this printer. It also has the built in fax and copier so for the price this was a deal IMO. Today, its on an even better sale $129: www.staples.com/HP-Officejet-Pro-e-All-in-One-Printer-8610-/product_159212

I bought my Canon Image Class D420 at Staples. Paid less than $100. I buy my toner refill through Amazon. A little pricey at $70, but lasts me almost 9 months, with me doing a lot of printing. My printer is black & white only, no color. Love it!

I've had my HP Laserjet P1006 for about 5 years. It has never had a problem and I've only changed the cartridge once. Bought it on Amazon on sale for about $80-90.

Something fishy going on there. I've always had inkjet printers. I thought someone told me once that you couldn't use the laser printers for labels because the pages get stuck or something. Not true? Do you guys just use the two labels to an 8.5 x 11 sheet and load them into a paper tray when you need to print a label?

Atdahop I bought mine at WM. Still haven't opened it, but it said on the box that it included the cartridge and the #. When we looked that was the high yield cartridge. It may only be a sample size or something but it doesn't say that unless I missed it. Guess I'll find out when I try to use it.
Classring This one says it has a manual feed slot for thicker materials so maybe you would have to feed the labels in by hand, sorry I don't use labels, still use paper so I don't know for sure.

Got the printer set up (haven't hooked it up to wireless yet though) the cartridge with it says it will print about 1,200 pages. So I shouldn't need to replace it for a long time. I did the test print when I hooked it up, nice clear printing and watching it suck the paper back in to print the back side is fun, or maybe I'm just easily entertained LOL

I've had the Brother HL-2240 for around 3 years now. I don't think the yeild on the cartridges are what they saw they are but it still WAY better than inkjet. I bought generic cartridges and drum the last go round and while printing lots of pages it started making noises. Last think I need is to be out a printer so I bought the HL-L2340W which is the newer version of what I have off Amazon. It was 79.99. Most come with the regular cartridge, I've never seen one with high yield right off the bat. I use the 2 page labels that I self feed and I have never had a problem.

I have a brother HL 5370DW. They usually only come with a so so cartridge. You have to buy the high yield ones post sale. It works great and costs just a few cents to print a page.

Check used printers, too-- I bought a used Brother DCP-7065DN on Craigslist about a year ago, for $50. It was a current model then, and was part of a home office for a guy who did tax work. He had 2 printers, so it shared a work load.
I am so in love with my printer, I still haven't changed out the toner. It even has a copier/scanner. When I first got it, I would just sit in here and look at it. My printer crush.
