That IS an interesting article. It makes me cautiously hopeful. "lack of arrogance"--I like that.

Honestly, I'm pretty cynical about the whole thing.
“When I joined eBay, there was no real clarity of accountability, and no one was clear about what they were doing,” he explained. “You would get into meetings with over 100 people and no one would know what they were responsible for.”
Within three months after joining, Wenig revamped the eBay logo. He began experimenting with creating a service to deliver products to customers’ doorsteps within a few hours, connecting customers with local service like handymen, and launching the ability for users to curate collections of items they sell on the site.
Let's see - you just took charge of a company rife with internal communication and process problems, unhappy sellers, and a very broken search engine. So what do you do? Create entirely new tools and services that don't address any of the existing problems but do keep the designers/engineers/product managers busy (too busy to fix the other things). Then, slap a shiny new logo on it.
*grumble*

Maybe Ebay is going to buy Angie's List next.

Interesting article- it even made me "cautiously optimistic" tho I don't trust any of those execs any further than I could throw them, lol.
Just one question- what was meant by "fashion verticals" in this statement? "Additionally, eBay wants to expand the ability for sellers to manage their listings to better showcase their products and add to the number of products available in its home and garden, and fashion verticals, which continue to see traction."
And I guess I have another final question- what new logo? Did something change that I'm not seeing on my Mac? It looks the same to me.

Oh, now I get it. I completely understand. Yup. So they're going to emphasize the actual designers over us little resellers? Or is that what they're already been doing? Or didn't they just sell off their enterprise something or other. I really do understand that they seem to be going in all directions as usual. If not, then maybe somebody can set me straight? Anyone?

I tell ya, ya gotta switch to plus sizes. Buyers are better and no designers to compete with here on eBay. Most retailers don't sell here either.
