Then why do sellers have to spend HOURS on the phone with eBay CSRs, trying to get defects (that never should have been!) fixed? WTH are they smoking at eBay corporate, anyway? It sure ain't the good stuff.

Do they have a new call center in Colorado we haven't heard about? Maybe just sourcing a team to send out emails that's based in Boulder?

did they also remove more defects than you actually had in sales?
I have no idea what those protection emails are supposed to mean--they show gigantic amounts of removals. by they way they read, you'd be lucky you could put pants on if one actually had that many defects!
