Read about it here
And, it's up THREE points from last year, topping Microsoft and Facebook. This info is a couple of weeks old, but I find it interesting. ETA: Note that this was an online survey of 1000 people.

Whoa. Amazon isn't on that list. Interesting.
Speaking of Australia and buying… after virtual chatting with some of my Aussie buyers and our own board Aussie, I'm surprised that some of the US plus retailers haven't opened B&M stores in Australia. The market IS there.

The market IS there. It's a logistical problem having to do with the opposing seasons, retail being seasonally driven. I noted that US size 10 is included in plus sizing there - the plus shops I saw were all Aussie/UK 14 and up (US 10), so there's a pattern range difference, too. ETA: I have a lot of Aussie and NZ buyers - I'm always trying to keep shipping costs as low as possible to get things to them. I even have a couple of regulars.

I really shouldn't be surprised. The plus retailers only recently added international shipping to their websites, that's how behind and antiquated so many of them are.
Wonder why Amazon didn't make the list?

I'm curious also.
Wonder if it's worth it to check out eBay.au and sending off season items to their site.......... I don't even know how it works to list on other eBay sites, so what I'm saying might not make sense.

Just remember if you list directly on another country site, your sale (and any after-sale problem) is bound by the terms of that country site.

Right. Can't we pay an additional ($.15? $.50? $1) to be visible on another eBay site? I know Australian buyers are really savvy and I'm sure the seasoned eBay buyers log into the US site to shop sometimes anyways.

I have Aussie buyers regularly, some purchase multiples, so they definitely look on eBay US. If we have shipping to Australia, it'll show up on their site, but I think it shows up "below the fold" - Miss Pettigrew would know.
Ugh - hit the wrong button before I was done. At any rate, ANY suggestions for serving Australian and New Zealand buyers would be heartily welcome.
