I wonder if Firefox will allow me to access Flash now. They don't allow it now because of security concerns.

I just updated it yesterday not knowing about this & Foxfire seems okay with the update. I was getting a message before I updated.

Finally got it updated. It only took, oh, two and a half hours, lol. I kept getting an error message when I tried to download Flash and Adobe Reader. I ended up typing the problem in Google which led me to the Adobe help forums. Was glad to see I wasn't the only idiot.

Ok, I'm really in the dark when it comes to stuff like this. DD just says to update Adobe when they tell me to and run AVG scan at least once a week.
So I just updated Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader a few days ago. Today I keep getting this message (I'm using Firefox):
"Firefox has prevented the outdated plugin "Adobe Flash" from running on (whatever page I'm on at the time)"
Now, do I need to update it again? I read somewhere that I should uninstall it but then I don't think I can play Cookie Jam or Bingo *giggle* on Facebook, right?
Need somebody to walk me through this PLEASE!!!
Thanks!!

Thanks unknown. I know HOW to update those things, but I have no clue what they do.

Since html5 got approved, flash has been disappearing (thank gawd) or at least not as 'required' as it used to be. It's always been a hot mess. Java is also something that's been disappearing (thank gawd again).
And you do NOT have to use Adobe's Acrobat reader (which is almost as buggy as flash). Adobe has to be about the worst at updating their software. Please avoid if you can. .pdf has become an open standard so there are a bunch of options you can use - foxit and sumatra are 2 I remember - and they're free and they fix stuff fast.
