Anyone else seeing an increase in 3 day shipping on their labels? 3 out of 4 yesterday and 2 out of 4 today seems like more than I normally see. Just wondering if USPS made a change to their promised ship times.

I haven't noticed it, but with all the sorting center closures, it was well publicized that items would take longer, so I wonder if they are just catching up to getting that info to Pitney Bowes.

I've seen the change happen mid-stream. Initially it'll say 2 day delivery and then when it doesn't get there in 2 days, they change it to 3.

I sure hope eBay is paying attention to this.

Larger cities that I ship to are usually 2 day PM but smaller cities are always 3 days. I am pretty far south so that doesn't seem out of whack to me.
First class is definitely taking longer than it used to take.

I thought you were referring to labels. Almost all of mine are 1 day or 2 day, but that's probably b/c I'm pretty central. I just did have a 3 day & noticed it cuz it's unusual for me to have a 3 day, but it was going to HI.

Just wondering if USPS made a change to their promised ship times. I've noticed a sharp increase over the past 2 weeks or so...most of mine were previously almost always 2 day labels. I even had one going just one state away say 3 days. I was like, WTH is going on?

I'm frustrated with how long 1st class items are taking lately. I haven't paid attention to what's been printing on the labels. It used to be that I could send my items out and they'd be scanned that evening at the Sacramento hub. I just noticed that my PO is only sending the priority ones the same evening and 1st class are going the next day. I do my best to ship out the same day they pay. I can't do it any quicker.

First Class doesn't have anything on the label about how many days it will take to get where it is going.

That seems to be standard operating procedure nowadays, since they shut all those sort facilities down. My main PO is even skipping scanning Priority pkg now, so nothing shows up until it hits the sort facility late at night. I had a FC pkg sit at the sort facility for almost 24-hrs the other day. But I don't see any abnormally long delivery times, so I stopped worrying about what the PO does or doesn't do.

It's still faster than FedEx. Bought DD some clothes from Hot Topic for her bday. Paid on Friday, they shipped on Monday. Each day they went from one sort facility and sat for 24 hours, moved to the next and sat for 24 hours. Took 4 days just to move from GA to MS, then 3 more days to move from MS to KS. Finally at KS UPSP took over the shipment and I got it in MO the next day. Luckily when she picked them out and I told her when we bought them that they may not make it before her bday. I never expected the to move that slow though. I will not be using FedEx to ship anything.

Peek, that's the FedEx Smartpost product (FedEx+USPS). And it totally sucks. Takes twice as long, and you have no way of knowing when you purchase from the retailer if it's coming regular Fed Ex (fast) or FedEx Smartpost (slow).
I have two items being delivered today via regular Fed Ex Ground, both just shipped on Monday.
So many retailers use the Smartpost product now, and it's so crappy/slow, that I've been tempted to add a blurb to my listings that items ship directly thru USPS, not a hybrid service.

Wow, I just printed a label that says 3 days from Cincinnati to a town just below Cleveland. That's one end of the state to the other, but I mapquested it, and it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive!
