My pictures are not the greatest, but hopefully good enough. Is this authentic ?

I do not believe that is authentic. I am not an expert, but is appear to be not so refined as a Tiffany piece is. Their jewelry is very fine detail-wise, the engraving is perfect, it is super-smooth. I do not see the "1837" looking good at all (appears not to be engraved far enough, not a Tiffany move at all). The font appears spaced too close together on like "T&CO" rather than "T & CO". The lock does not appear refined either and the loop holding it appears off to me as well. This is a similar piece for comparison. My vote if fake, perhaps a Spiffany LOL. I hate being the one saying no, but I just can't find anything about it that seems authentic at all.

The issue might be the pictures. It's very difficult to photograph something like that. I can't tell how the marks look in real life, and we're looking at the "T & CO" on an angle. I haven't seen that exact style, and didn't find any on eBay.
It does look a bit crude in the pictures, but that just may be because it's used and it's difficult to get perfect pictures. The thing that bothers me is the ring connecting the lock to the bangle. How does that look in person?

I cross posted on the EBay jewelry board. Waiting for someone to see my new pictures there, but I am a bit hopeful.

I think I am going to return it. I paid a lot for it, and it is not worth taking a chance. Thanks for you replies.

I think it's probably good that you returned it. It looks rather crude for Tiffany--their pieces are so refined and ladylike
