This was the question..."Will you take a return if it does not fit? According to the measurements you listed, this would fit me, but I can't risk the money if it does not fit. Thank you."
Hi, I will be taking this dress to a antique/collectable fair this Sunday. If it does not sell there, it will be relisted.
I really don't want to do a return on it, as I have been abused before, when I used to accept returns - people wear a dress for an occasion, then find a reason to return it. Then I am out of the postage fees, and get a soiled dress back. Terrific.
So, if it is relisted, and you should buy it, I will allow a return from you. This would be possible only if you agree to return it, postmarked within 2 days of your receiving it, and that my security tag will still be attached, and the dress is still clean, un-worn and free of perfumes. Also you would have to pay for shipping costs both ways. In addition, you must agree to cancel the sale, when prompted by ebay message in order for me to have get my sales fees reversed.
I am a small business, and have small margins of profit that don't allow me to absorb costs as a large corporation can.
I hope you understand - thanks for your interest in this unique dress!

I don't think I would put all that extra stuff but just stick to this part.
"If you buy it, I will allow a return if you agree to return it postmarked within 2 days of your receiving it with my security tag still attached. Also you would have to pay for shipping costs both ways. You must agree to cancel the sale when prompted by ebay message."
The rest of it is just blah blah that probably doesn't make a wit of difference to a buyer. Keep it on a business level.

It's nice, but I wouldn't send it. The answer should be, yes or no. I'm with Kritter, just than couple of sentences.

i usually really don't want to get into a dialogue with buyers about stuff like this, so I stick with "sorry, I cannot accept returns based on fit or buyer's remorse".
She can't risk her money, but I can't risk my money either.
