Got this message: "I have three items in my shopping cart could you please revise the invoice for combo shipping? Thank you!" All my items are fixed price, in my store, and immediate payment required. Can I combine and adjust shipping before she pays?

That is the one problem with IPR, combining and a partial refund of excess shipping go on after the purchases, it can sometimes be a turn-off for the buyer who is unaware if they are getting a refund and sometimes will buy less because of it. I once was all IPR because I tended to only sell one item at a time so the rare sale of 2 or more just resulted in a partial refund (not because it was stated anywhere, but because of just wanting to keep it as low as possible for the customer). This was prior to the defect thing, now a lot of partial refunds might be a red flag, though supposedly that was corrected.
If you can bulk-edit those 3 items to remove IPR, have her purchase them and let her know a combines shipping amount will be on the invoice, that would be a good bet.

I checked my settings and it is supposed to give her $2 off each additional item. I told her that, and let her know if it did not give her the discount to go ahead and pay and I'd refund $4. Never heard a peep back from her.

I don't think there's any way to automate that process. You have to manually refund or remove IPR from the items. FWIW, I went back to non-IPR & I don't think I had 1 person in 2014, who didn't pay immediately. At least among my demographic, slow payers just have not been a problem AT ALL.

A little late on this one. I was searching for something else when I came upon this thread.
You can set your shipping preferences to combine shipping on checkout. If the buyer puts everything in their cart first, it will automatically give the discount upon checkout.
Your listings will also show a banner displaying the discount. Most of my clothing items are set this way, and I put a blurb about putting purchases in the cart first.

Roses is correct if you have your shipping set to auto discount on combined it will do it when they put everything in their cart. Since she didn't email back or buy I assume she wanted more of a discount than what it was showing.

I'm having problems with the shipping calculator not properly figuring out combined shipping when a potential buyer puts all their stuff in their shopping cart. I have it checked off to combine the weights and calculate shipping based on the combined weight. Instead, it adds all the shipping costs. No, not what I want or expect.
Anyone else have this issue and figure out if it's definitely eBay or am I not setting the rule up properly?
