that's it. I've had it.
ANOTHER "Snad". www.ebay.com/itm/Skinny-Fit-Polo-Shirt-Size-L-10-12-WOMENS-RALPH-LAUREN-TOP-Raspberry-3-4-Sleeve-/121530473953?rd=1#ht_2527wt_734
Buyer:cpri1914 (38)
Reason: It doesn't match the listing Comments: I am disappointed with the condition this top came in. It is very faded and worn and I would like to return it.
***********************************
there is not an effing thing wrong with this top--in fact, its in pristine condition. there is not a doubt in my mind that it just doesn't fit-its the STYLE of the top. I have no idea what I could have done differently...its exactly as described.
so I want to reply to buyer and somehow tease it out of her what the real reason is. no matter what happens, I fully intend to escalate this to ebay when its time and drag this out as long as humanly possible, even if I lose, even if they have to give her the dreaded "courtesy refund" and it hurts me more. IDGAF anymore. I need help with how to reply to her before I fly off the handle--I am thisclose to it. I need wording to help her "admit" what her problem is.....
I have zero idea if its even humanly possible to get a request closed in my favor over condition (buyers opinion and all that) but THIS is my line in the sand. i'm sure the whole thing will aggravate me more than I already am, but like I said, i'm out of ideas.
so please help me write it.
*and fwiw, i'm going returns. I also need help with a concise return policy, but i'll start a new thread for that. I want a tight timeframe, buyer pays shipping, and i'm on the fence on restocking fee. I am not lying when I say i'm at the end of the ebay road.

What I don't understand is how can they hold up not as described when your description just stated preowned (from what I saw). Pre owned means someone owned it before you. It's not new so it's exactly like described. Now if you said new condition and she disagreed I could see it. Don't think ebay will side with you though. I would be interested to see what they said to how preowned can be SNAD.
For an email maybe something like.
Hi, I received your email, sorry you aren't happy with the top. I'm not sure why you chose not as described for the return reason, I listed the shirt as pre owned, which it was, I didn't notice any significant fading or wear and after reviewing my large photos I still am unsure of what the problem is. If it was an issue with fit or you just didn't like it after receiving it, you could have just emailed me to discuss a return, I'm very easy to work with.
Sorry I know not the best email but I'm feeling icky so that's all I got LOL

I notice there is no condition description in your listing (faded/not faded). Not sure if this will help or hurt your case any.
It's a used shirt. It is what it is.
I would respond to the case: I'm sorry the buyer is not happy with their purchase, but this shirt is exactly as described in the listing. It is a pre-owned shirt, as described in the listing. Preowned means not new, and the item has been worn and washed.
And leave it at that. See if eBay sides with you. If not, escalate.

I want her to admit it doesn't fit so I have a leg to stand on. I somehow need wording to help her say it in ebay messaging.
my pictures speak for themselves-you can see the pique is crisp, not faded, worn, damaged, or anything else of note-it is preowned, period.
if she admits its a remorse issue, I may have something to dispute, giving me a better shot that "buyers opinion".

As soon as I saw Skinny Fit in the title I figured it didn't fit and she is trying to get around having to pay return shipping. I checked WatchCount and the other womens RL tops she has bought are size 14/16 with a bigger bust measurement. Damn bucksnuggler

It didn't use to be an issue but I think with the way ebay pushes returns now if you don't take them, buyers are more inclined to make something up to qualify for a return. Never experienced that before or believed it but that sure seems to be the way it is now.

Shirley is 100% correct. I already KNOW what the actual issue is, it has zero to do with condition. it is not a SNAD, it is a remorse issue.
I could have stated it was worn exactly 83 times and washed 84 and was stomped on by elephants in its past life and I bought it for .25 at the goodwill in downtown Camden and it wouldn't have made a rats ass of a difference (none of that is the case, btw)
hence my wording question.

What if you said something like "I'm sorry but I didn't see any signs of fading, pilling, staining or wear when I listed the top, and as you can see in my detailed photos it looks to be in excellent condition. Can you please send me photos of the specific damage you're talking about?" Maybe then she'd say something about it not fitting in her reply, since she can't prove damage that doesn't exist.
Your photos are great, and the close-up shot of the button shows that the pique looks nearly new.

I'd send something along the lines that ahrncity suggested. She still might not fall for it, but asking for photos is probably your best bet.

Never experienced that before or believed it but that sure seems to be the way it is now. It doesn't matter if you have a full refund/no questions asked policy. Buyers are making up issues and damage to get out of paying for shipping. I'm in a huge eBay seller group on LinkedIn and they have a very interesting discussion about how suddenly SOOOOOO much of what they ship the buyer is damaged, or is being damaged by the carriers (insert HUGE eye roll).

I wouldn't ask her for photos of the "damage" because she might wash the shirt in bleach or something to make it worn and faded.
I'm not sure if there's a way to get her to admit the fit issue. Maybe you could ask if she liked it otherwise, along the lines of, "what did you think of the style and fit of the shirt?" Or you could tell her you might be able to find the same one nwt and ask if she' would be interested. (You might be able to.)
