I found a piece made by a local artist Aly Winnigham in the bins. Only one of her items has been listed on eBay in the past year, and it did sell, for $355. However, that piece was much, much larger than what I have. Mine measures 4" square, and the one that sold was 24" x 35", if I recall correctly, and it was a mosaic. I was thinking $70 for this piece? I have been to her website, but nothing has prices! grrrrrrr I am pretty sure I am going to list it in the decorative collectibles category, but I am not happy with my title. I have "Aly Winningham Dichroic Glass Heart Eye 4" Metal Plate Art Wall Hanging" Should I add anything else, or change it up? Any help is appreciated.

I might go with sculpture for that, as well, it is 3D. I don't know much about the secondary market, though I collect a lot of art glass & love dichroic. I would include her studio name in the title & her bio in the listing. You may have to call her gallery or visit to get an idea of prices. They are so heavily dependent on the artist & can really vary in price range. I see she does a lot of festivals, so she's not really expensive, I can tell that much. Festival artists like to have a range avl in their booths.
If I had to guess, I'd guess her retail for something like that is $50-$120, but it's really hard to guess without knowing how she prices her art as an individual. Is it glued to the plate or bolted on? The more labor the higher the price.
The other thing you can do is price dichroic art &/or tiles on ebay (oooh, wish I hadn't looked) & go from there.
Nice find! I'm always excited to find art at GW! It's my favorite find of all. Of course I keep it all LOL.

Thanks for your insight, Zoesam. It doesn't come up off the plate by much, would you still call it sculpture? I agree with you that this is not a labor intensive piece--the heart is not bolted on, so must be glued. The hanger on the back is glued on, I can see it, and her name is signed in Sharpie. I found a small sack of dichroic glass pieces in the bins, PM your address to me, and when (or if : I find it my uber messy office, I will send it your way if you want it. These are pieces that would be used to create a piece.

Sorry, I forgot to come back here & thanks for your kind offer, but I don't make pieces (it's on my bucket list to learn one day), so I wouldn't really have a use for them. Maybe you could sell them?
I personally would still use sculpture, but if I did, I'd probably put a quarter in the photo for perspective. Then again, I don't mind playing loose with keywords :-). I do think it has a sculptural element, though IDK if it's technically a sculpture. Basically I wouldn't call it a sculpture, but I'd put it in the title & then in the description, call it a "sculptural tile" or something to that effect.
I am in love now thanks to you with an Aussie designer's pieces on Ebay. They are inexpensive though, even though it's a long way from the US, I may have to buy one. The piece I wanted sold though (ended listing below).

Those earrings are gorgeous.
And yes, I could sell them, just have to find them first!
