A good friend of mine just lost her bulldog it was sudden and very sad. I found a sympathy card that has a bulldog puppy on the front and just a really nice saying on it. Is this a bad idea to send? I am second guessing my choice. What do you all think? Thanks, Kathy Below is a picture of me and my sweet friend, love the little snorting, farting lover girl.

Personally I would love something like that.
But everyone is different so it's a hard call.

When my dog died, I called his ortho vet and let them know. A couple of days later, I received a really nice sympathy card that everyone in the practice signed. I'm sure they send them to everyone, but I sure appreciated it. Ever since then, I've sent them to friends. No one has dropped me or complained, so I say go for it.

Sending a sympathy card is a nice idea - I got several when Mia died and appreciated it. If you think the bulldog picture might upset her then I'd go for something with a different picture but definitely let her know you loved the dog and share a silly memory or whatever.

I agree with Val, send it. When my kitties had to be put down the vet's office sent sympathy cards with cat pins for each kitty. Each card was hand signed by the staff. I was touched. I've also received cards from my sisters.

I just saw her posting bulldog puppy pictures on her Facebook and with 4 yes votes here, the card goes in the mail tomorrow. Thanks for the help. I just had a panic moment, lol.

Sorry about the loss of your friends bulldog fur baby, he was so cute that breed seems to have so many health issues.

Yes they do, between breathing problems, nasal and skin infections, yeast infections. They were such good doggy parents and luckily had the money to get any treatment Miss Dee needed. It is so sad I will see them this weekend and I am sure there will be lots of tears.

It is a great idea and not in bad taste at all.
Great picture too!

I don't see a problem either.
