Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Will you be tipping back a shot of tequila to celebrate? Enjoying a Margarita?
Overcast, but seasonably warm here today so I've got the windows open this morning and I'm enjoying the fresh air and the birds chirping. Yay for spring!
Got six pair of shoes listed yesterday and will work on some more today. Might also sneak out and take a lap around Savers since it's senior discount day.
What are you up to?

Rainy here in PA. Packed up 3 sales. I have my food bank this afternoon....very long wait-about 3-4 hours. This church serves 600 families. I also pick up an order for my daughter. Then many trips up to the fridge for the perishables from my car in the garage.
This evening is the breast cancer support group that I run....so I have that stuff to get ready.
Will be glad when this day is over. But very happy that I don't have to worry about canceling the group if the roads are snowy and icy.
No alcohol ever for me since I am on chemo...And I don't like to drink anyway.

Going to take my Mom to a local Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. No alcohol will be involved, but looking forward to the yummy food and hopefully patio seating. I am in a class learning Spanish, so this day was the topic of discussion last night.
The weather here in TN is absolutely gorgeous today. Sunny and in the mid 80's. This afternoon will be back to the regular work grind, but thinking of sitting outside under the covered deck to work so I can enjoy the sounds of nature Have a wonderful day everyone!

Finally got a day I can devote to Ebay. It's rainy here - great day for listing - bad day for pictures. I'll just have to use what I get. No special plans for partying - I really need to get some work done!
Denise, how do you do it? You are always so busy. When do you find time to list?

Had light drizzle overnight so it's a cooler morning here then usual. Had to put on a sweatshirt to sit on the patio and watch the hummers this morning. Going to have lunch with some friends at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I'm off the heavy meds so I'm going to have one of their prickly pear margaritas. So good, and a gorgeous pink from the prickly pear juice. I have some skirts hanging up that I want to iron or steam in the afternoon, would like to start taking some pics tomorrow. Tomorrow has become my favorite word.

Kid-that is why I am lucky to list 5 new a day.
I am a slow lister and packer...
So the fact that I keep shopping and am building up my unlisted inventory once again, is making me nuts....
How sad about the Ligonier trooper who was killed, huh?

My listing activities are gonna be on the back burner for a while today...kitchen duty and personal laundry chores are calling my name. But, as an aside, I had a rather interesting sale yesterday. First, I got 2 offers on a NWT blazer that had BO on it, since it's a little out of season for wearing it. Both offers were for 50% off (one was from an obvious major re-seller). I bulk declined both, and 30-seconds later I got a message, "your item sold." Same item, different buyer...at FULL price! I was stunned, thinking it was a glitch! But I surmise the buyer was in limbo until I declined the BO's... I was doing the happy dance routine all afternoon because it just about covered my big dry cleaning bill from yesterday.

I'm curious about Cinco de Mayo celebrations. Is it celebrated all over the U.S. now?
I grew up on the South Texas border about 30 miles from Mexico so I've always known about it.

I think pretty much any day with an excuse for alcohol consumption is celebrated now.
I got Sabrina to the groomer this morning and then started cleaning the foster bedroom. I vacuumed up enough hair for another cat.
Oh, stopped at the GW while I was out and picked up a red Harley jean jacket. Saw a pretty Donna Riccio sheer duster but didn't get it. Its sheer white with red roses. No size or fabric content and I couldn't find the dress that probably went with it.
Picking up a little foster this afternoon so today is cat related day.

How sad about the Ligonier trooper who was killed, huh? I'm pretty much not functioning with the news of the K-9 troopers death. We only have a small police force, mostly local boys who grew up here together so it's hard on the whole town. I heard that the 1st responders couldn't get to him because the dog was protecting him. I guess his K-9 dog is in okay condition - may need surgery. I really can't stop thinking about it.

BetsRoff-LOVE when that happens!!
Kid-my good pal lives in Ligonier and so does her daughter and grand-daughters. They all know the family.
Channel 11 broke into Ellen's show to have a special newscast about it-Ch 2 and Ch 4 did not. Horribly sad.

Yea for me!!!!!! I got both the cats picked up on opposite sides of town and got home before the rain started. Had a small issue at the groomers. Apparently Sabrina was slightly irritated and they couldn't get her out of the cage and back in the carrier. The office girl came out and asked me if I would go back and get her out of the cage. I just smiled and said "Thats one of the things that I pay ya'll the big bucks to do". Five minutes later we were on our way and, yes, Sabrina was definitely irritated.

I just googled the story. How sad. His poor family. That's your town, kidgear?
Shirley (jands), it's been celebrated in all the states where I've lived (IL, CA, TX and CT). No parades or anything, though. Just an excuse to go to a Mexican restaurant and eat and drink.
DH and I went out to an early dinner. Didn't go to a Mexican restaurant, but we did order fajita tacos off of their special menu and they were delicious. I chose a dirty martini over a margarita.
Settling in to watch the Blackhawks hopefully beat the Minnesota Wild. Game starts in about an hour.

Just took some time off & sat on the screened porch listening to the birds & trying to make sense of something senseless. Sometimes I feel like I just don't understand things. Denise, I think we are about the same age. Might I know your friend? I grew up in Ligonier, went to school in Phila, lived in Boston for about 8 years. Have been back in Ligonier since 1986.

Today I had an early off day from work and got a little bit done. I made a super quick stop at one thrift and found a piece of Pyrex I had been wanting for a long time. It is just a small local thrift and the girl at the counter only charged me $2 even though it was marked $7. Score!
One of my good work friends knew I was looking for a kitchen table and found one for me on a FB buy and sell page. He buys and resells furniture so he is on lots of groups. Well, he went and got it for me AND he and his partner carried it up two flights of steps. I gave him $15 and I pretty much had to force him to take that. I am so excited. I will definitely post a pic as soon as I have a camera charger again. I ordered it but it is not here yet and both of my chargers were lost in the move.
Right now I am in cell phone purgatory. I had been on my dad's plan but he wanted to switch carriers so he cancelled the plan around 2 months ago. I decided to go for a Tracfone for cost purposes but it is turning out to be me pricey than I though. Since my family doesn't live here I talk on the phone quite often and the Tracfone isn't really a good deal since I need a lot of minutes. So, I guess Thursday I am going to try to get a phone with Cricket which is $35 a month for unlimited talk and text. Since I have already ported my number once I am not sure if they can port my number once again. I don't want a number since I have had this phone number since I was 15!
I also seem to have suddenly developed this weird pain in my right heel. It feels like the back of my heel is bruised but I don't remember hurting it and doing anything that would make it hurt. Of course it hurts right where you rest your heel to push the gas pedal in the car. Fingers, or toes, crossed that it gets better before morning.

Pyrex-sounds like you had a good day! The heel soreness could be plantar faciitis. I have had that on and off for years. Take it easy, since it will just get worse. No flip-flops...you need to wear shoes with good support.
We can give you lots of advice with it, since so many of us have it. When mine was at its worse, it took 2 years to heal. And even now, it comes back often if I walk too much.
