It's a new month! I actually sat down & wrote out some goals today. I have to get some self-control! Everything seems to have gone out the window over the winter. Made a healthy veggie omlet for breakfast, did my shipping & am getting ready to list at least 10 items per day. Hope to get all this summer inventory I have listed this month.
Weekend plans include working on the yard & garden. Lowe's is having a big sale so I may check that out today or tomorrow.

My day will just be horrible~~HOUSEWORK!!! This place looks like a bomb went off two years ago and no one did anything about it. I just don't get how only 2 people can make such a mess. I have to get this place in order today, because I am to the point where I just can't stand it anymore. On the bright side, if I get it done today, I get the weekend to play outside. So, off I go. Wish me luck!

Getting ready to head out for work. That's what is in the agenda today. Love my job--but wish I didn't have to go in today. I have a million and 3 things I need to get some around the house.
I cleaned last weekend. Including hand scrubbing/waxing the hardwood floors. tomorrow, I will tackle the basement. I still have Christmas stuff down there next to empty totes. I need to get that stuff put AWAY!
Then, I will treat myself to a trip to ikea. I need more ideas for this living room of death! It's killing me! We never use it-but it's right when you walk into the house so I feel it needs to be "staged". I'm almost there!

Today is my dd34's b-day and she passed her nursing final yesterday!! She will graduate next week as an RN. Since she also has a Master's as a therapist, she will look into a nursing-psychology field. She is the mom of my dear GS3, Jaxson.
Happy to be able to put a few small packages into my mailbox and stay home all day. I will have a very busy week next week.
Window washers coming today and I get paranoid that they will be able to see into my rooms as they wash the windows. Can't do much down here, but upstairs rooms are uncluttered.
Will get back into listing clothing and hope to get outside this afternoon to do some yard work.
I also tend to get chatty since I am by myself all of the time!

I know there are a lot of young whippersnappers here, but do any of you oldsters remember dancing around the May pole on May day? Or putting May baskets of flowers, either real or carefully constructed paper ones, on the doors of your friends and neighbors. Ah, the memories of childhood. Knowing that when you went to school on May day that the tether ball pole, another blast from the past, do they even have those anymore?, would have the ball removed and lots of colorful ribbons attached. Being hardly able to pay attention in class and just waiting for recess when you would all go out, grab one of those ribbons and dance around the pole, winding and twinning the ribbons and just having fun. Some things about the 'good ol days' were actually pretty darn good.

I remember crepe paper streamers in different colors placed on the top of the pole and then we all danced around. It is a faint memory since it was so long age. Do kids do this today? Probably not. I am an oldie lover hence my screen name.

Of an age... I like that! Lol. I have faint memories of crepe paper Maypoles in 1st or 2nd gradl, and making construction paper baskets for flowers. Those were sure different times. Today, May Day in Portland, we have 2 scheduled protest/anarchy parades that should disrupt traffic etc all day. Good times, right?
Today I'm going to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodbury with DD & the kids- it's the final weekend. ( List? Who needs to list, right? ) Hope there's some tulips left; the festival started early this year and lasted over a month. Because of the early Spring all the flowers are blooming at once. We have tulips, wisteria, dogwood, roses, iris, lilac etc in a disorderly riot of color. Not a bad thing... just weird.

I am older than dirt, so maybe that is why I don't remember a pole...

I made my month long goal today. To list 10 items every single day. Once upon a time, I had close to 1000 listings. I listed consistently and sales were very good. Then I got lazy and have been hanging onto about half that amount.
So my goal is to list 310 items this month. So far, I have listed: 1. Only 309 more to go!

That was my goal too, Diva. So far you are 1 ahead of me. I did get a bunch of stuff photographed & measured. I usually list on Friday night for some reason. I'm going to the plant store now & hopefully will be able to knock out some listings tonight. I'm easily distracted by sunshine!

I am older than dirt, so maybe that is why I don't remember a pole... I have got that going for me plus I don't think we were big Maypole dancers down here in south Texas. We are more of a fiesta with cascaroones kind of crowd.

Planted my onions, cleaned up garden a bit, dragged out my 3-hose pile for water in the back.
Now going out to weed under my crab apple trees.
That will be it for today....

My weekend starts on Sunday (since I work the FT job on Saturday). Yard work is calling my name. Last weekend, we cleared out a big patch of weeds/growth in a garden bed behind the picket fence. We knew the fence needed to be painted, but didn't realized that 2 sections really need replacement instead. Priced out the 2 sections and the arbor/gate (which Hurricane Sandy helped destroy) and almost had a panic attack. $1500. So now we're looking into an arbor 'kit' and re-building the fence instead. Oy vey. I know DH can do it (I'm good at painting - not so good at power tools...) but it will take.for.ever. But we'll save about $1000. That's a lot of used clothing to sell...

I am completely unmotivated today. It's gray and threatening to rain and I have a migraine. I took some of my pills but so far they haven't kicked in. What I really want to do is curl up under a blanket and sleep. I just might after I put in some more laundry...

I remember tether ball, but I don't think my elementary school did any May Day celebrations. Had to work at the RL job today. Good thing is there is a bunch of work despite tax season being over (it's all the interesting stuff now). Bad thing is I really wanted to take 2 weekdays off, one for eBay and the other for my remote clients. So my goal for the weekend will be to figure out how to schedule everyone and still get at least my one weekeday off for eBay. And list. HAVE to list. As in Mega. Listing. Marathon. This weekend. But tonight, I'm logging out and the cat and I are off to watch some TV.

Today was track and field day at my kids' school. It was a crazy fun day-- super busy, constantly on the go, moving from game to game. At the end of the day, they have grade level tug-of-war contests, and 2 of my kids classes were champions for their grade level. It is so much fun to watch the kids have some healthy competition. They all get so excited, cheering on their teachers from years past, and rooting for their friends if their class was eliminated.
I am exhausted-- 9833 steps today on my pedometer!

I had planned to list tonight but all the weed whacking whacked me out. No telling what my listings would look like if I went ahead as planned.
Going into the foster bedroom and hang out with the Rags.
