Good Morning!
Getting a little bit of a late start for me, since it's already 9:00 a.m. ET. I was finally able to sleep past four or five a.m. which is when I've been waking up this week.
I've done my workout and made myself a cheddar cheese and roasted red pepper omelette and now sitting down with my coffee. I've been trying to be diligent about diet and exercise as, before my trip to Chicago, I'd already gained back close to 10 lbs. of the weight I lost since DD's wedding in October. While in the Chicago area for 17 days, I gained another....wait for it....8 lbs.! I could've eaten 24/7 with my pre-menopausal metabolism and not gained that much weight in a year. I knew I was in trouble at the end of my trip when I attempted to button a pair of jeans that had fit me when I got there and didn't when I was leaving. It's very frustrating, but nothing to do for it other than to start chiseling away again. I've accepted the fact that it's going to be an ongoing battle from now on. I can either choose to fight it, or not. Since it's fresh in my mind how happy it made me to not have to hide flab and rolls when choosing clothing, I'm motivated enough to try, try again. I've lost 5 lbs. since I returned 9 days ago, which is good, but those early pounds always come off pretty quickly. It's the next five and then the five after that'll really take a lot of work.
Enough of that! After I shower, it's on to personal laundry and listing. Might also put the screens back in today. I took them out and DH washed windows before the wedding and, since it was October, we decided to leave them out until the weather warmed up. The house looked cleaner and brighter without them, but it's finally warm enough to open some windows. I brought them up from the basement yesterday and was bummed to note that in our haste to prepare the house, they'd been stored without being cleaned and I didn't feel like cleaning them at that point. DH said he'll clean them, so if he gets that done today, I'll install. He's not allowed to install as he loses patience and ends up bending frames and nicking wood window trim. He can be patient and methodical for about five minutes and then he starts forcing things into position. Sigh.
What are you up to today?

Sorry about those long, boring paragraphs. Can you tell I didn't leave the house or talk to anyone yesterday? LOL.

No problem at all...love to read how others spend their day.
I plan to stay in all day and just finish listing the yarn that I have. Then back to listing clothing which will go slower. But that is good since the auction rates will change as of tomorrow.
I do Yoga, mild Pilates and stretches every morning....and hate it. I have to modify it for my health problems, but it does help. And have a never-ending struggle to lose weight.

Classring - that's funny about how chatty you get when you haven't left the house. I find myself chatting with everyone at the thrift when I haven't been out for a while. Yesterday was beautiful so I just appreciated the sun. Cloudy & rainy today so hopefully I'll get some listing done. I did go out thrifting a bit yesterday. Went back to the new Goodwill that opened where I found there were big holes in almost everything I wanted due to barbs being put through the fabric. I fired off an email to the headquarters which is so unlike me. I really wanted this place to be successful & they seem to be doing everything they can to fail. By the way, Denise, they have no plans for a senior discount.

Oh thanks, kid, for the info....Darn-I want a Sr discount.
I will be in Latrobe on Sunday for a cancer survivors dinner as part of the Relay for Life. And I plan to stop into the GW afterwards.
Well, at least it will cut down on my buying if there are holes in everything...
I will also send an email in complaint.

Got Savannah to the groomer this morning and almost took her and left. New groomer there and she was complaining about how many cats she had to groom today. I would have left with Savannah if I knew of any place else to take her before Saturday. Will definitely have to do some groomer research before it is Sabrina's turn. Love all your chatty paragraphs, class, and love these daily chat threads. Going to Chili's for lunch with two friends that I met when I worked for the shelter. We usually get together a couple of times a month to catch up. Already have the chips and guacamole ordered in my mind and I have a coupon to get them for FREE. I did get some pics done yesterday so hopefully I will get back to listing this weekend. I get distracted with yard stuff this time of year and it is hard to focus but I need the coins for foster cat stuff. No telling what that groomer is going to jack me with this afternoon. OK, I think that I just outchatted Class.

Woke up late today and just didn't want to get out of bed. Spent a hour chasing an insane kitten around the house. When I opened the cat room door the little striped devil dashed between my feet and out into the house. Bitty thought it was quite the game and ran around with the kitten and played 'stay away from Mom'. Finally got the little troublemaker corralled and back where it belonged. And all this was before I had my coffee. I have a feeling that it's going to be one of those days.

I am failing miserably in my listing goals. I can get 1-3 listed in the morning before work and that's it. I'm determined to get my 10 today and tomorrow! I listed 2 this morning. My sales have dropped off so that should be motivation to get cracking! Today is cold, cloudy, and rainy. Good day to accomplish some in house goals. Because tomorrow is sunny and 75! Woohoo! Maybe I'll try to get tomorrow's listings done tonight too!

I love to read the chatty posts! I'd planned on staying home listing this AM but due to DS's car trouble I'm playing taxi today. I get to spend the afternoon with DD & the grands. They're over being contagious with hands, foot and mouth disease so I'm looking forward to some smooches. I passed the incubation period without getting spots after sharing a sundae with Joanna at Costco the day her brother was diagnosed. Guess separate spoons was a good idea after all! When I get home later I'm going to weed-whack the yard so we can mow. I'm embarrassed at how high the grass is... seems that in a house with 5 adults, I'm the only one that notices things like that. Well, if I'm gonna be the groundskeeper this year, I'm going to have machines that I can use without waiting for someone else to help me start them. Ok, pet-peeve rant over now. Time to get to work. Have a great day everyone! Sandra

We planned on working more on the back land, getting it cleared off has been a massive job. Got part of the big old barn that's been down for years burned yesterday. Was going to finish burning it today but it's too windy. Went up and renewed the tags on my car (nothing like waiting for the last day), ran the car through the car wash and then tried to work on Ebay but DH kept bugging me. So I gave up and have been snuggling with the dog instead.

Same here! I get more stuff done around the house trying to avoid listing. I have about 20 pair of mens shorts to list. BORING!! I have them photographed, measured, weighed - just have to plug in listings but I keep finding other things to do.

I'm here late. We went to a college visit today with my son. It was a great day. Hes only a junior in HS but is very motivated about college and want he wants to do. It's a beautiful day and the campus was pretty with kids relaxing all over getting ready for finals - it took me back a few years! (ok, quite a few :-)
I'm meeting 2 friend tonight for a charity thing at a boutique then dinner and drinks so that will be fun! In between I'm getting ready to run to the post office, laundry and maybe list a few things.

My daughter just made her choice on which school she will be going to in September (nothing like waiting for the May 1 deadline) - and it's not one that was on our summer 2014 college campus tour. So DH and DD had to make a 7 hour trip upstate last weekend to take a look at the two schools she was considering.

I'm definitely more chatty when I've been cooped up in the house for a day or more. Back from Denver, it was a little disappointing, what used to take about 1.5 days to do now can be done in a day for sure. They keep closing thrift stores, now the Boulder Savers is closed so there's really no need to make the drive there anymore. Oh well, at least we'll save on hotel expenses. It was a fun day though, the weather was gorgeous, cooler than here which is what we were hoping for.

Went grocery shopping today (yuck!). I would much rather cleans out the fridge than that!
Didn't get anything new listed but got some re-listings done. There's a big church rummage sale in town tomorrow. I can usually find a few good things there.
Kidgear, I love listing shorts. They go so quick! 3 pics, a few measurements and tah-dah! you're done! lol

YAAAAY! - I'm done - I think 24 pair in all. I still have a full banana box of mens golf shorts & Columbia hiking shorts to do another day. It does go pretty fast but I just find it boring & have to force myself to list. I enjoy listing more when I have a variety of things but that takes more time. I think I deserve a snack!

She will be attending SUNY Geneseo, near Rochester NY. She was accepted into the Edgar Fellows Program there which came with a nice little scholarship. Her first choice was Vassar, but she is on the wait list there. If she makes it further than the waitlist, she will jump ship in a second (providing the financial aid package is healthy enough since Vassar is a private school, and we are poor not rich lol!). She's on the waitlist for Boston College and Boston University, two other top picks, but we get a better break on tuition for NY schools, since we live in NY and all...

Nice, all4saleny! I bet you're proud of her! I made one client really happy today. My tax office wanted me to start on some past year returns for a delinquent client, and what we thought would just be a couple hours tops ended up being all day. The office is happy because this is an hourly billed client I'm not so happy because it's yet another dumbass "businessman" who thought he'd save a few bucks and do the work himself and then hire an office person even more clueless than he is. Argggh, But hey, it's paid time for me so whatever! Have more problem children clients after he's done. Did get my hair cut, yay! I used a work excuse to get out of a brunch on Saturday. Bunch of ladies, normally I like to go, but two of the ladies attending tend to bring out the sarcastic in each other, which they think is amusing but I'm not overly fond of it since the rest of us are the target. I just didn't feel like wasting away a big chunk of my day and being miserable too, so I said I was working. Maybe I'll treat myself to an earlier breakfast out and the 99-cent GW

Hi guys - couldn't figure out where else to put this, and didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll chat here. I'm finding very little time to read here, or anywhere actually. We dumped tea in our laptop almost a month ago, and it's still pulled apart. Little Girl had a couple of UTI's (still in the middle of antibiotic round #2) - this time around she was complaining of bladder & kidney pain. The washer is leaking, and there's water damage at the baseboard in the laundry room. It was on a drip tray and THAT is leaking. Three people had immediate plumbing emergencies that DH had to deal with (meaning the leaking washer & computer still haven't gotten fixed). Crazy hectic pace around here! We even have a new washer to put in...sitting on the front porch. I haven't listed a thing all month (the computer is pulled apart in tiny pieces spread all over the picture taking area - No way am I messing with that!), and since I'm on our older (S-L-O-W-E-R) laptop I've been mostly limiting other online activities to necessities - I've done a bunch of research on kidney stuff, and a bunch of household puttering. This week I've been organizing the kitchen cabinets - getting around to all those little annoying out-of-place things. I'm hoping that once the computer is put back together & I'm listing again that the organization will "stick". I'm actually considering labeling shelves so the kids (and DH) know where to put things back to. No excuses that way. I have a few cabinets left in the kitchen, then I plan to move on to my switch-out plan (adult books off the shelves/kids books/toys/games, etc on) in the living room. I actually see that it might get done before summer. Oh, and though we still don't have a working scale, I know I must've lost some weight b/c I put on a pair of sweats today that were super tight over the winter, and there's room in them now. DH & I have both been back to eating on plan and have both been feeling a LOT better.
