Good mornin', good mornin'! You've slept the whole night through, good mornin', good mornin' to you!
Used to sing this to my kids in the morning when they were younger. It's on some commercial now and the first time DS1 saw the commercial, he called to tell me that "my" song was famous. Until the commercial outed me, he'd apparently thought that I was clever enough to come up with that myself.
I went to bed really early last night, so I was wide awake at 4:00 a.m. Stayed in bed until about 4:45 then finally gave up on falling back asleep. Came downstairs and bonded with Jillian Michaels through her 30-day Shred workout. Still cold here in CT this morning. I guess spring (or more likely summer) will truly come one of these days. Seems a little crazy that it's the last week of April and there are still frost warnings. Very strange weather year so far.
Will read the boards while I have my morning cuppa, then off to the showers. Think I'm going to head out to one of my favorite thrifts today. It's about a 45 minute drive, so I don't go there more than every couple of months and I think it's been even longer than that this time. Do I need inventory? No. Should I be listing my summer shoes/sandals? Yes. Have I gotten back into the swing of things (other than shipping and relisting) since I returned home a week ago after being out of town for 17 days? No. Do I need a day out of the house and away from DH? Yes.
What are you up to today?

My DH works full time and is a part-time college student. He is home today studying for his last final exam of this semester, so my day is totally different. Trying not to make too much noise, so I think I will venture out into the real world and run some errands so that DS has some really quiet time. His busy schedule keeps us apart a lot of the time, so I am EXTREMELY happy that school is out until next Fall. Have a great day everyone!

Yesterday I went to the doctors appt to see the pictures of my future baby grandson. Technology has come a long way since my last child 24 years ago.
My favorite thrift was right across the street so I had to stop in even though I don't need inventory. I had a very successful day there & a couple of other thrifts I hit on the way home. A lot of my success comes from buying off-season so now is prime time to stock up on kids winter clothes.
Today I have to wash, photo & LIST!!! I actually have some motivation today in spite of a long tiring day yesterday so I need to cash in on that while it lasts~

I have to take pictures today. I literally have nothing photographed to list. Too many cloudy days in a row on days I had planned to work. I really need an alternative to natural lighting that isn't a PITA to set up on my family room every time I need to take photos.
The problem is for a long time I had an eBay room with a permanent photo corner set up. I never had to do anything but dress my half manni, point and shoot. I became spoiled. So this business of having to set up and take down even a simple picture taking area every time I want to take pictures is a bit of a PITA to my inner little princess. The idea of making it even more complicated by pulling in or moving extra lighting around is a giant PITA.

I am in the same situation as Elly. I will be taking pictures for most of the day because I have none for listing. I am in a sales slump so I am also not very motivated. My sales are so bad Ebay owes me money! Ba-duh-bump ( say it in your best Rodney Dangerfield voice)

Gee Terri, just reading your post has me tired out!
I'm on my second cup of coffee so hopefully I will get a bit more zip.
I did get a load of summer items washed and in the dryer. I hope to get one more done but I am easily distracted so we will see what happens. I really need to get this stuff listed and out of here before it becomes Fall again.
And it does feel more like Fall here today then Spring. We will barely get to 70 today so I'm just going to stay in and avoid the yard until later when the sun is out more. It's darn chilly in the shade and wearing long sleeves and a jacket at the end of April is just weird to me. We are supposed to be around 90 for the weekend, which is much more to my liking.

I am going out later but definitely need to vacuum some of the Ragdoll cat hair up before it suffocates us all.
Need to return some books to the library and then will probably stop at the GW. Have some things to take pics and list but don't have my mind on that for now. Going to get a running start on 5/1 when all the changes come into play.

It's still pretty chilly here, too. We have our thermostat set to 60 and the furnace is still kicking on. Crazy weather! I'm hoping for a mild summer so my garden can grow. I want big tomatos and lots of squash!
Today after work, I will be listing. I stayed late yesterday so no listings. I'm aiming for 7 tonight. With the sun out today, I may do a little yard work first.

I'm actually all caught up with my listing for the most part but it won't last long... we're hours away from heading to Denver to shop. Haven't been since November

Well, I'm currently taking a break and trying to catch my breath...sales were pretty anemic this month, but I had a rash of sales late last night & this morning, so I was busy packing. Then, we had a sub carrier today and he showed up 4-hrs early...so, it still meant a trip to the PO. But I'm grateful for the last minute sales! Surprisingly, I was put on the East-West Coast servers again. Three sales were to CA and one to Park Ave, NY. Very wet and chilly here...55 F at the moment. Brrrrrrrrr...but we already had highs in the upper 80's a few times, so I'm really not complaining. I much prefer cold over heat. I had a rough few days getting in pics, laundry and listing before the promo ended Sunday. Only managed to get up 24 new items and a few re-lists, but I'm hoping to find some extra energy to keep the momentum going for new listings... Have a nice day! BBL

I am in the same situation as Elly. I will be taking pictures for most of the day because I have none for listing. I am in a sales slump so I am also not very motivated. This is a vicious cycle for me. My picture taking window using natural light is between about 1 - 4. But I don't have the room to myself EVERY day between 1-4. So it's not as simple as planning to take pictures on Monday, and if it's too cloudy that day, doing it Tuesday instead. If I have more than 2-3 scheduled picture taking days in a row canceled due to weather, I start to get in trouble as far as having things ready to list. When that happens sales go down. Then I'm unmotivated. I've tried sticking to a photo schedule no matter what. If it was cloudy, I used flash. But I end up hating my photos because my flash pictures aren't as clear and there's a color issue, and I'm never happy with a listing using those photos.

Happily packed up several sales from last night, then ran a bunch of errands. Had planned to do yard work when I got home, but now eating dinner.
Yard work can wait....

Well, I broke all prior thrifting records! I was at ONE store from 9:30 a.m.until 5:30 p.m. Yes, I am a lunatic. DS2 called while I was there and I hadn't spoken with him since Easter, so I sat down on a couch and talked to him for about 45 minutes. Aside from that, I was shopping the entire time. No lunch break. No potty break. I was a warrior!
Got some decent stuff. Not in the mood right now, but I'll post about particulars on the appropriate thread in the appropriate area tomorrow.

You sure did break some records! The longest I ever went in one store was probably about 4 hours. I'm sure it was well worth it!

I once (or twice...) spent 8 hours thrifting too, at a Savers 50% off sale, even went without lunch (had a nice hearty breakfast, though), but no potty breaks??? That is impressive!!!

Elly, I do all my pics outside & I prefer cloudy days. If it's too dark though, I've been doing it anyway & just brightening them up in the software. We have so much wind in Spring, that I gotta take it when I can.
