I sold 4 large Lilly Pulitzer straw handbags + put them out Tuesday for carrier pick-up. One was going Priority from NJ to CA. That 1 got scanned in + 2 days later showed it was still in Kearny, NJ. After that no movement.
The other 3 were sent Parcel Post. They were never scanned in. Tracking just shows I created labels.
I called the Postal 800 number and filed claims on them. The next day I got a phone call from the post office in CA saying the Priority Mail package was out for delivery. The other 3 still show no tracking at all. I am expecting to get a call back from my local PO on this, but based on previous dealings with them, I don't expect any help. Is there anything I can do? I am really worried that the buyers will think I never mailed them or they are lost. Any ideas?
Oh, just wanted to mention I used to print scan forms but my mailman would just ball them up and put them back in my mailbox. He never used them to scan the packages, so now I don't bother printing them anymore.

Update: The tracking showed up this morning. It says they were accepted at my post office today (Sunday - when they are closed) and arrived in Jersey City, NJ today also. That makes it look like I mailed them today (April 26) when they were actually mailed April 21. I am happy they are not lost, but pissed that they sat someplace for 5 days and are making it look like I didn't mail them for 5 days.

I would talk to the Postmaster about that. It's part of their dang job and they are supposed to do it. If he is too damn lazy to do his job then he needs to find another one. I'm glad the pkgs finally got scanned in, but dang why does the PO have to do crud like that and make us sellers look like we aren't doing our jobs.

Even at USPS.com now, if you print out postage, it tells you that you need a scan sheet. Your route person is wrong, and if he continues to do this, it can cost you some serious money in INR claims.

My regular carrier has never asked for a scan sheet, but last week a sub was on and asked if I had one. Nope. The only time I've ever used them is when I've purchased postage at USPS online.
