Last week I sent a bag to thredUP on Wednesday and to Twice on Thursday. This Wednesday I received an email from thredUP informing me they had received my bag and I would have an offer from them by May13th. What? Three weeks! I know there is an also additional wait after that until I can access their payment. This morning I received an email from Twice with an offer for the items in the bag I sent them. After checking their list of accepted and rejected items against my inventory sheet, I accepted their offer and selected payment by a mailed check with no PayPal fees. I sent 3 bags to thredUP last year with mixed results, mainly with consignment items and paying for one item to be returned but never receiving it. I hesitated to send them this most recent bag after reading very mixed reviews from sellers but decided to try one more time. Would like to hear if others have had recent good or bad experiences with thredUP.

I have used both. Heavily. I started with Thredup, but got fed up with them. I decided to try Twice. I liked them. I will NEVER EVER do ThredUp again.

I won't use Thredup after they failed to put a bunch of my things on consignment that were supposed to be.
The worst was that they gave me $12 for a NWT Coach bag that was supposed be on consignment, I would have sold it for $89. I contacted them and the response was something along the lines of a lighthearted "Oopsie, our mistake, here, we will give you another $18 because we meant to sell that for $30." When I told them NO, that is unacceptable, and sent photos of the clothing calculator showing that the item was supposed to be on consignment (so minimum price should have been $60 AND I should have had the option to change it) , I got another lighthearted Oopsie! It's a glitch in the shipping calculator left over from when we updated our consignment structure.
When I pointed out that the "glitch" was still active more than 4 months later & it is false advertising, they stopped responding & now close every ticket I open without response. I have been building a huge case complete with screenshots to send to the BBB as soon as my remaining consignment items in their possession either sell or are returned. I noticed that they tend to respond to the BBB cases by paying people correctly. If they don't, I will have all the stuff ready to send to the authorities.
They seem to feel that they are a donation site rather than a site that buys your items and offers consignment. And their customer service sucks!!!
no complaints about T wice so far.

I have two more weeks to wait to see what they will offer me for my bag. I left $14+ in my account with them so they could not claim they wanted to buy nothing from it but keep everything (to donate) because there were no funds in my account to pay for the return shipping. I'll update this when I receive my offer.

Can't help wondering if somehow they heard me complaining because I heard fromThredUp with an offer for my bag this afternoon. I was really pleased with the amount they offered and in only 2 more weeks I will actually be able to retrieve that amount from my account! Starting to prepare another bag to send them and since I am just entering "church rummage sale" season here, with bag sales closing almost all of them, I am glad ThredUp is back on my GoTo list. For now.

ThredUp is lowering the percent of payout on items selling for between $10 and 39.99. support.thredup.com/hc/en-us/articles/203415056-How-much-will-I-earn-for-my-clothing-Here are my notes comparing before and after.

Wow, big difference on those lower cost items! I mean 10% for an item selling for $15? Really? I'd rather donate. But I'm done with ThredUp anyway, so no matter to me lol!

Wow the new %'s stink! I'm done with ThredUp as well. Very frustrating and disappointing experiences selling. That being said, I've had nothing but good experiences buying there though.

I came to the conclusion ThredUp is a cover for a big seller on ebay and other sites! And probably has a few stores !
