It appears mom is gone. One was trapped inside a container, and the other was hanging around. They are both now in my daughter's bath with an old towel. I'm putting them on Craig's for $50 a piece, which will go towards Every Creature Counts. They were so hungry they were shaking. They're so hungry they fight each other for food. I have to watch over them and separate them so they can eat without tearing each other apart. They're hissy until you pluck them up, then they lose their fight. haha

Yes - they have food all over their face. They're little beasts when they eat.

They are so funny!
I'm starting to get the "why are you charging so much" emails. ugh
I don't think $50 is out of line, especially when it's going to end up as a donation. I'm not giving these little beasts to just anyone.

Don't be surprised if your CL posts get pulled. Animal folks love to report the 'for sale' posts. Even when you say it's a rehoming fee/being donated to, they don't read, they just hit the damn report button.
Cute little guys.

When I lived next door the the feral cat making lady I charged $20 for the kittens. I always found they got better homes that way. I gave them all kinds of names like hissy, scrappy, lovey, friendly and it was soooo hard not to keep them.

My ads still up, thankfully. I have one woman wanting to come out tonight or tomorrow to look at them. Cross your fingers they get a home.

I understand the rehoming charge but I think $50 is a bit steep unless you are going to take them in for their first shots so they are ready for new owners. Not sure what the local shelters charge around you but when you pay $50 or $75 there you get one that already is fixed (or has a future credit if they are too young) has their shots etc. I think $20 would ensure good people are getting them while allowing them to still have the money left to get their shots and check up.
No matter what they are lucky they found you. They are adorable and I'm sure they appreciate the food in their bellies and a loving touch.

I definitely wouldn't charge $20. They could wind up as bait for that little amount. I usually keep the ones I find or rehome them with people I know or are friends of friends.

Its hard to tell how big they are/how much they weigh but I would get them spayed/neutered before letting them go to somebody that I didn't know.
Lots of 'not so nice where animals are concerned' people lurk on CL just waiting for this time of year to snatch free or cheap animals.
Have you tried contacting any shelters or rescues in your area?

These little guys are only around 5 weeks.
$50 is a bit steep. But people have paid it before. I think it's because the kittens are so little/young. Anyway, once I get it, I'll run by Every Creature Counts and drop off the donation. I love that place. They do good work for animals.

The last time I tried to give kittens to this place they denied them. They said they may belong to someone.
Uh, no. We live semi rural and these kittens didn't escape from someone. They're definitely ferals.

It was his new father. Big guy with tattoo's up and down his arms holding a little kitten, priceless.
It sounds like his wife and son are going to be fighting over this little guy.
Yay for another kitten not becoming coyote chow.

Second kitty has a home. I was gone when the woman came over. My daughter did the transaction and she tried to pretend she didn't know how much the kitten cost. Dante got it out of her, though. I think she was trying to take advantage of the situation. oh well
