Package is going to a small town in AL. It's out for delivery from the PO in the zip code of another small town in AL. Only the last digit is different.
I'm hoping this doesn't mean there's a problem ahead. As far as I know, every zip code in my city has its own PO. So where I live, this would mean at the very least that the package would have to be redirected. At the worst, it would mean the wrong person may get the package and it may never been seen again. So I hope someone can tell me that maybe in smaller towns, sometimes multiple zip codes share the same PO?

My in-laws live in a town that has two different zip codes. One ends in a 1 and the other a 4. They are both the same city/county and share the same postal service.

This must be similar. It went Out For Delivery from X City zip XXX26, but was Delivered to Y City XXX27. So all is good. It had already been held up for a few days in a sort facilityy, so I didn't want another problem.

Sounds like it will be okay.
Better than what I have- a guy bought 2 different relaxation CD's, 2 different times so 2 packages. One arrived in Fl from PA in 2 days.
The other one went to GUAM! I told him to listen to the received relaxation CD while he waits to calm himself down. Hope he has a sense of humor....
