I'm renovating my bathroom to make it a shower only for when I'm too decrepit to get in and out of the bathtub. Oh, the expen$e, the dust, the never-ending choices for everything. All that and it's tax time too. Yikes, it's giving me anxiety dreams too. No fun. No zen. frak-would you qualify for the USDA grant or a loan like I received for my bathroom? One has to be low-income and 62 or older. The income limit as of 2 years ago was $41,500 for 1-4 people.
If you don't qualify for a grant, you could get a loan payable at 1% over 20 years, which would only cost $50 a month.

No, I don't qualify. I should have anticipated that it will cost 3x what I expected as even when I moved in here in 1984 the cosmetic changes were 2x and everything took 2x longer than I what I thought.

Oh darn My stuff isn't top of the line by any means but it was $10,000. TG, I got it for free. But if I die within 3 years, my daughter has to pay it all back.

That usually works for me. You'll have to post pics when it's done!
