Almost everything one can buy has the California chemical warning The way I look at it is if it has that California Warning label then it is bad for the pansy people in California. If it has a Texas warning label then that is when I start paying attention. California overkill of the highest order.

I tried salmon in my fryer but the skin stuck to the rack. I will have to spray more oil on the rack next time. Or use these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Z62KKRX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1They come in pretty much every size and shape out there for air fryers. I have several USPS packages awaiting delivery that are bouncing all over San Antonio, like this one: Arrived at Post Office SAN ANTONIO, TX 78246 December 26, 2023, 2:23 pm Out for Delivery SAN ANTONIO, TX 78216 December 26, 2023, 6:10 am Arrived at USPS Facility SAN ANTONIO, TX 78246 December 24, 2023, 6:39 am Departed USPS Regional Facility SAN ANTONIO TX DISTRIBUTION CENTER December 24, 2023, 6:15 am Arrived at USPS Regional Facility SAN ANTONIO TX DISTRIBUTION CENTER December 24, 2023, 6:02 am Departed USPS Facility SAN ANTONIO, TX 78237 December 24, 2023, 6:02 am Arrived at USPS Facility SAN ANTONIO, TX 78237 December 24, 2023, 6:02 am Departed USPS Facility SAN ANTONIO, TX 78227 December 24, 2023, 6:02 am Arrived at USPS Facility SAN ANTONIO, TX 78227 December 24, 2023, 6:02 am Departed USPS Regional Facility SAN ANTONIO TX DISTRIBUTION CENTER December 24, 2023, 6:02 am Arrived at USPS Regional Facility SAN ANTONIO TX DISTRIBUTION CENTER December 22, 2023, 3:14 am Departed USPS Regional Facility DALLAS TX LOGISTICS CENTER December 21, 2023, 9:23 pm Arrived at USPS Regional Facility With this particular package, I've received three notices on 3 different days that the package was out for delivery...doesn't get delivered...and is popped back into the system again. The time stamps on this one make no sense either. I have 3 outstanding deliveries doing this. I suppose it could be worse, USPS could be shipping them between various cities . Call USPS. They will pull the package and mark it for hand sorting. Waited until now to tell you because trying to get them to pull a package before Christmas was probably useless. I had a package go between Scranton and some other PO bouncing back and forth. It was coming to me. Called up. He spotted it on a scanner and had it pulled for hand sort.

I did that to the last one. Postal rep simply repeated what was on the website. The packages eventually make it to me. They just take the scenic route

Miserable out today. Damp and rainy. Going to rain harder later.
Hubby was sick and gave it to me. Working my way through it as we get premium pay this week until the 3rd. Tested negative for covid. Just have the creeping crud. Taking a break from walking yesterday and today.
I broke down and finally purchased ll bean duck shoes. I had been buying JBU duck shoes but the last pair I bought had a leak. I wear these for cleaning the yard on days like today (aka poop scooping). Of course it took 2 tries to get the sizing right. I bought them on eBay. Cost more to ship the one pair back than they are worth. Will sell them on Marketplace or eBay. They run really big but don’t come in half sizes.
The one thing I did like about the JBUs is they were shearling lined. Will miss that. I can get Bean shearling insoles if I decide to spend the money but I only wear them a few minutes a day.

labby, thanks. -I looked at those and they have the same ones on eBay with the statement that they don't sell to CA because of restrictions. I need the 7 1/2" square ones and ordered those.

FYI, some sellers on eBay & Amazon will pop up the CA 65 warning even if there isn't anything in what they are selling that is even remotely hazardous. They're just CYAing.

Hi guys I hope everyone had a nice holiday. We did but it was definitely melancholy to not have mom there, especially as she always enjoyed Christmas so much. Luckily we didn't get the storms they predicted on Christmas Eve. Just some on and off rain then the sun actually came out and it turned into a nice afternoon.
Denise maybe your daughter would be willing to put you on her account as a prime family member? My daughter in Portland put me on hers even though we live in different households. And I get all the benefits (shipping, streaming) and I don't see her purchases or her mine. It's really great lol.
Val there's something like that going on at a sorting center here, too. It's right outside of Houston in Missouri City. The local news even did a story on it, an elderly gentleman has been going without his medicine that comes in the mail. They went to talk to them and they gave the exact same statement!!

We've been hiking a lot. Some photos. One brilliant day we walked through the outskirts of Norwich through a huge city park which included this enormous water feature.
The next thing you know, you pop out of the busy city into farmland:
We had to hustle because this time of year the sun sets very early - it's only about 3:00 pm in this photo - you can see the boardwalk in the marshes - we were on the return leg and hustling to get off the trails before dark. We were laughing that it was a good thing we're used to short winter days!
Today we walked from Norwich to Wymondham, through what's called "Kett's Country", famous for Kett's Rebellion in the 1550s when Robert Kett, a local landowner who had fealty with the peasants who were being pushed off their lands by enclosure, lead 16,000 peasants and yeoman in an armed uprising Unfortunately, they were defeated by the King's troops and mercenaries and Kett himself hanged living in a gibbet. He's had hero status ever since with streets, roads, pubs, houses, schools, etc., named after him. Standing quietly by a narrow road is the tree where he assembled his army - it still stands with a crutch due to a weak branch. It was very evocative in the near twilight:

House hunting adventures - we're looking at this place - 17th century but has been renovated. We're setting up a tour - the court itself is 15th-17th century. It's the peaked house in the middle - we would have three floors.
Ha ha - the neighbours have a funky situation going on - they live over this passage and, believe it or not, it's very solid.
The other side of the green. Norwich has a lot of medieval dwellings. People just deal with the weird doors. Our door would be perfectly straight as the building is newer (relatively).
We'll see.

There's an upscale apartment complex here that has that same sort of passageway/entry, albeit larger: It sounds like you two are having a good time, Chap. My office is closed this week, except for any payrolls that have to be run. I'd planned to work a little every day, but that hasn't happened It's been nice resting my shoulder. I must admit though, the standing desk is helping. Three weeks and three voicemails later, plus a call to the doc from the PT facility, and I still don't have the PT order in place so I can get PT. Needless to say, I just left the doc a bad review on every medical review site I could find him listed on. On a brighter note most of my packages finally came in. I still have to get the final one from the apartment office. FedEx appears to have lost my latest WM order. I used the online chat to request a refund. I'll just reorder it from Amazon. I watched the Christmas specials for some fave shows, and started binge watching 21 Jump Street . The music is the usual hokey 80's crap but the acting is pretty good. I remember watching it when it first came out. My fave was always Penhall (Peter DeLuise). Johnny Depp looked sooooooooooo baby-faced back then!

Laundry out on the line, roses, bougainvillea, and weeds blooming makes for a perfect late December day.
Well, all except for those freaking weeds.

We had flooding rains again last night. We are ok where we live. Some roads closed again this morning. Ride home last night was bad. Had to watch for flooded roadways.
Didn’t get out of my car at work last night after 9 PM. Was pouring. Let the gang out at 11:40 pm. Even they refused to budge. I had to throw dog cookies out into the yard to get them to move.
Work is slow but I found a homeless guy in the library. We found out how he got in. He wouldn’t leave so I called my boss and he told him the same crappy story. So we ended up calling the police. The guy spit at us and kicked the door to the library on his way out. I looked at the video and h had made himself rather comfortable in the library from 4 PM Christmas Day until 5 PM on the 26th when I caught him.
He left before the police got there.

I baked several things before Christmas. I like to experiment with new things. We had 5 days of Christmas, Dec 23-27 with sons' families. We had 4 people staying with us 2 nights. We got to visit with all 5 grand-daughters.
I got to play with my 2 great-grandsons over Christmas. They live in Arizona, so we don't see them often. The baby is 10 months, the toddler will be 3 in mid-March. I was cautious, stayed in the background at first with the toddler. I remember a great-grandmother and great-grandfather. He died before my 3rd birthday, but I can still see what he looked like from being near him, not from pictures. He was tall & thin with a thin pointed beard down to his waist. I was rather afraid of him, but he didn't try to make friends with me. She lived much longer as a semi-invalid. She always requested I sing a hymn for her, which I somehow did as long as I could look at my mother mouthing the words.
