Well we didn't get much rain yesterday, just enough to dampen the laundry which I should have known better than to hang out. But it was sunny and breezy in the morning. Some chance of rain still today, I guess we shall see. We are still quite behind on rain.
I'm super mad at myself for breaking the camera, it was only 2 years old. My phone is rather cheap, the photos aren't terrible, but not to the quality of a digital camera. I'm hoping I can find a good deal online for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If not I'll just have to find something I think is a good deal.
Chap I hope you are fine after your vaccine. DH and I had not one side effect, even our arms were barely sore. I need to schedule us for the Shingles vaccine over the Christmas holiday when he's on vacation. I've heard those can be rough. Has anyone here had it?
I've decided to make pulled pork in the crock pot Monday, we can have sandwiches. And then Tuesday I'll make baked potatoes with the pork on top, and just celebrate potato day a little late lol. We do a big outdoor Halloween thing and I don't want to do much cooking, or dishes! DH is taking Wed as a PTO so we can get all the clean up done.

Jes-I had the shingles shot initially and the booster a few years ago. No problems at all, and was given them while I have been on chemo (which has been forever-21 1/2 years). Heck, almost as long as I was unhappily married. TBH, chemo has been better than my marriage was. I got a flu shot in my leg during my chemo a week ago.
And next week, I hope to be able to get the Covid booster in my butt. There's only one place that will shoot my butt around here.
Still nice today as I continue to pack up garden stuff for the winter. But will rain and be cooler from now on.

jesmelric - I started having a reaction to the covid shot about 12 hours after I'd gotten it, which is par for the course. I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore arm and aching all over. I'm pretty wasted today, like I have the flu - again, par for the course and nowhere near as bad as it was the last time where I had glandular swelling in the arm where I had the shot. I haven't done much of anything save this morning the DH and I loaded up the stationwagon with 300 lb of scrap metal, scrap treated wood (could not be recycled) and some other stuff that had to go to the transfer station. It was a good time to go, and now our basement looks better. I came home and went to bed. I had the shingles shot (both) and had no reaction to it. We're having a beautiful of chilly fall day - we have another one tomorrow so I hope I feel better to get out in it! I expect having a cold when I got the shot probably didn't help.

Ugh I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it won't last long. I don't think I've ever had any reaction to a vaccine. I'm glad to hear you didn't have a problem with the shingles shot. We definitely do not want to get shingles! Do you know how far apart the shots have to be?
We are very warm again, with a big cool down expected tomorrow evening. We went ahead and gave Janey a bath. Might as well while it's warm. She's really too big for the utility sink. DH had made an out door faucet with hot and cold and a hand held spayer for our previous fur girl, so it's kind of like an outdoor dog washing station. We just use a big plastic container. She hates it. But that way if it stays cold for a while we don't have to worry about it.
We found a few garage sales this morning on the way to Aldi's but they were meh. For some reason they were all very tiny. We have the bins tomorrow, fingers crossed.

They are giving flu and Covid shots at work Tuesday. I signed up.
Been listing on eBay a bit today. Decided to clear stuff out of my home that I have had for a bit. Boots and a jacket. Going to list more. Time for stuff to go.

The cold front is supposed to move in here tomorrow night. I stocked up with several soup flavors from HEBs deli. They make pretty good soup. The cats and I were really lazy and sat around watching TV most of today. I have to assemble a bookcase tomorrow. Ugh.

Monday night-Thursday night will go down to the low 30's. Ugh. I will be covering some of my remaining flowers until it is no longer doing any good.

jesmelric - I'm not sure how far apart the shingles vaxes are - I think it was several months for me. I've had shingles once - it was horrible, I had it in my throat and esophagus and, natch, it came at one of the most stressful times in my life. I had a small recurrence of it years later but it was just some blisters on my midsection and I felt meh for a couple of weeks. Everyone I know who has had shingles has had it under stress - a couple of my friends when they were writing doctoral theses, one in med school and another who owned a business which was going belly up.
I felt better today from the Covid shot, still slow and a bit tired and had to take a nap despite only dropping off donations at a couple of thrifts, rode a bit on the wind trainer and lifted a few weights. I'll probably be fine tomorrow - I have a 6 mile run planned and will list some stuff - that's all I have to do. Maybe sweep the deck (again - the winds are tossing all kinds of gribble on our deck).
No yard plans - we have all native plants and trees, so all we have to do is sweep up the neighbour's littering maple tree (grrrrr) and of course the deck. But the leaf raking from that danged tree, it never ends.

jesmelric I think the two Shingrix shots were a couple of months apart. The pharmacy called me when it was time to come in for the second shot. I had no problems with the vaccine, just a sore arm for a few days.
