I think it was Val who said Medicare pays 21 days for nursing home. MIL's being released tomorrow, which is 21 days. Her hospital bed is supposed to be delivered today. DH and friend dismantled her bed already and when I asked if there was a lot of stuff in, around and under it, he rolled his eyes. That will be a nice surprise (we hope). The only thing I worry about is if she falls again, she might actually break something and not want to call 911 because she'll wind up in hospital/rehab again.

My Chewy order arrived today. Two days from ordering.
Surprise, surprise, they let me make another order using the code Fall. Of course, if I didn't make another order, I would be losing money so now I have litter on the way.

That's a cute glass for those 16 oz presses...unfortunately with a big ol' spelling error on it. We've got just straight rain and wind here. Denise - Please let us know how it's going with those tests - sending you white light vibes!!!

That's a cute glass for those 16 oz presses...unfortunately with a big ol' spelling error on it. Where? The pic I see says "Yes, I do workout...lifting beer". I don't see a spelling error, although from a distance the "o" in "do" does look like a "d". Zoom in though, and it's definitely an "o". Sunny and 93 here. They have the 80's back in our forecast starting next Thursday. I'll believe it when Thursday actually arrives and it's really 80-something. Creamy ranch chicken is simmering in the crock pot. It smells pretty good. I used some no salt added ranch dressing mix and I'm curious to taste the final product. The recipes using the onion soup mix smell better, but probably because onion+beef has a stronger scent than chicken+ranch. Still, it's nice to be able to fix this kind of stuff again, but without salt I ordered the teriyaki balsamic vinegar so there is probably some stir fry in my future once my order arrives.

Of course, if I didn't make another order, I would be losing money so now I have litter on the way. Website says limit 3 per customer, so you still have one more order you can place Ends 10/2. I'll have to go see if my crew needs anything. The ranch chicken was a bust. Totally tasteless. I've added some more seasoning to see if I can save it. I even added some salt to the sample I was tasting - didn't help. I'll stick to the onion soup after this.

The spelling error is that it should say, "I do work out." "Workout" is a noun.

You could always set up another new account and order from that one. Or I can order for you with delivery to your house.

Once in a while, I get the Chewy coupon with a code for new accounts. But not lately.
Maybe because I don't have pets.

I tried that years ago and they caught it by my address. Three orders will do me for the rest of the year. I will wait until my gift card shows up on this order which usually goes active when they ship my stuff.

It is not "workout", it's "work out"
Workout - noun.
Work out - verb.
"Yes, I do work out...lifting beer"
I can totally see it just banging away posting online or casual communication, but to have it printed up on a manufactured product - ugh, their marketing department needs to be more careful.
It's like these great memes I see...with really egregious spelling errors.

I still chuckle about a large sign on freeway going into downtown Cleveland created by ODOT. Instead of saying "Tower City", which is the shopping/dining area in the Terminal Tower, that used to be the tallest building in downtown Cleveland, it said "Towel City". And nobody caught it from creation to being installed until it made the news a few days later and quickly removed.

I suspect I'm not the only one who doesn't really pay attention to work out vs workout. But my goof - sorry! The 10 day forecast for here has changed a bit. They're still forecasting the 80's for most of next week but a 79 degree day has been slipped in at the end. I think the weather service is toying with me. I'll be happy to just finally leave the 90s. Both temps and era

The only thing I worry about is if she falls again, she might actually break something and not want to call 911 because she'll wind up in hospital/rehab again. FWIW, you can research the rehab places and pick the one you want (assuming they have a bed available). My mom hated the first one she went to (before we knew we could pick) but the second one was completely different and she didn't mind going to that one. Like your MIL, she didn't want to go to the ER unless she had to for fear of rehab. However, that fear DID make her visit her primary care doc more often so she could prevent chances of rehab, and that was a good thing. You might be able to use that argument with MIL. Fingers crossed she's happy to be home today and gets well soon.

Thanks for the info, Val. I remember when my Mom had to go to rehab, she had at least 6 choices. Unknown what happened with MIL. All I know is there was a social worker and she went to the nursing home. SIL, who lives with her, is kinda loopy to probably just agreed with whatever was suggested. She did go home today. DH just came home and said she's just kinda quiet so probably getting used to reality of being back home. Unknown how she feels about her new bed. MIL's never happy, she prefers to have something to whine about. She wanted to go to ER to be checked out to make sure she didn't break anything, then got mad because she couldn't go back home right away.
At least she should be happy she can take herself to the bathroom whenever she needs to instead of waiting up to an hour for someone to show up to help her.

I think Frakin was just being funny. And it was funny given she was referring to a mistake on a beer glass Now that I think about it, maybe the error was on purpose...as in someone drunk designed the glass

Anyone wanting a shelf for the top of your stove, this one is nice: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XYG3KD2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&th=1The picture isn't accurate though. It has the same bottom strip in the front on either side, forming sort of an open box. The magnets are underneath and are the same height at the strips, so it doesn't sit flat on the stove top. Why is this good? If you have an oven light switch on the top of your stove, this will fit over it. Yay!

Thanks, Val! But any joke that has to be explained, I guess, by definition, isn't so funny. Sorry.

Woo hoo! I think fall is finally about to arrive here! Forecast 89 today, 90 tomorrow, and then 80's after that with some 70's at the end of the 10 day forecast. I'll believe the 70's forecast when the day arrives. Until then, I"m happy to just get out of the 90s. Fingers crossed we also get the rain that is in the forecast. My ratatouille came out really good yesterday and now I have a ton of it to eat I reduced the quantity of veggies the recipe called for and my 8 qt slow cooker was still stuffed to the top (literally! I had to squish the contents down to get the lid on). I froze 3 servings and have 2-3 servings in the fridge. No cooking today! I think I'm going to make slow cooker 15 bean soup tomorrow since that makes a bunch of servings too. I may not have to cook again until next weekend since I also have some chili in the freezer. Works for me! I like cooking, just not every night and definitely not at 6:00 after working all day Although the slow cooker does help on those days. I can't imagine how working moms do it every night.
