I just received an interesting call from a guy who works for USPS. He wasn't a telemarketer and asked if there was anything that I had problems with concerning shipping. Since I have been selling for over 17 years, I have it pretty much covered. I did mention that I sometimes have a problem finding boxes when I use Ground Advantage. He said not to quote him, but those boxes might be made available eventually. He told me to keep his name and number in the event that I ever have problems with shipping. He asked me if I knew about carrier pick-ups, that I can order free priority boxes online and if I knew about Ground Advantage, etc.

I use ground advantage a lot now. I hope they make free packaging for it.

DH ships a lot with FedEx and they call him bi-monthly to see if all is well and how can they help him with shipping stuff. It's a nice personal touch. Maybe USPS is going to do something like that too; they should do some one-on-one PR since all they seem to do is close or restrict post office hours and raise rates several times a year.

I blame Dejoy (joyless). I told the guy that it would be nice to be able to call him when I have a problem and can't reach anyone about a problem.

One thing that I did learn was that we can get a carrier pick-up with a Ground Advantage package. It used to be that we couldn't get a pick-up unless we had a Priority package.

I'm finding Ground Advantage to be a great shipping solution! So far, so good. Since I have neighbours and one community college giving me boxes, etc., I never lack for shipping materials.

TG for eBay's free boxes since I am always hunting for a non-Priority box.
