I go all the time here. It's averagely $.50 for kids clothes and $1.00 to maybe $5.00 or so for adults, depending if it's a t-shirt, dress, what have you. Some people price a lot higher and the clothes sit and sit. Sometimes if there's a lot I'll hit one close to 11 and if the clothes are high there's still tons left. In my experience if it's a pricey brand it's best to skip garage sales, people aren't looking to spend a lot and aren't usually brand conscious (well except the under cover ebay sellers like me lol) The clothes are easy, I was going to put all of them out at $1 and let them go for $0.50 if offered. I'll probably do the same for the costume jewelry and small kitchen stuff like mugs, etc. It's the other stuff I have that I'm not sure how to price. Brand new 6 qt instant pot, never used. Brand new 2 qt instant pot, never used. Round air fryer, 2 qt, used maybe a dozen times if that much. White metal bar stools, retail around $50 each. Only used by Simon (he likes to sit on them and watch me in the kitchen.) Extra long acacia wood patio bench. White painted acacia wood patio coffee table. Turquoise patio table + 2 chairs, perfect for narrow patios (oblong table, chairs tuck in at the ends). Extra patio chair for the table. Cassrole style slow cooker, used once. Freezer style ice cream maker, minimal use. Several nice stretched canvas wall art pieces, larger sizes. Small apartment sized exercise bike, folds up to put in closet (I know, price it cheap but it's not going for $1.00!!!) White metal freestanding closet/garment rack, minimal use (already assembled). It's this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099RFVWP2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 If anyone can give me an idea of where to start the pricing on the big stuff, I'll be very grateful. ALL of the kitchen appliances are either new, or in very good condition and still work. This is not the worn (and often broken) stuff one usually sees at a yard sale. Shoot, even the clothes I'm putting out are in excellent condition - great for a reseller (if one shows up and offers a decent price for the batch, it's theirs including the huggable hanger it will be hanging on, LOL).

I forgot. I also have 3 brand new rugs, two still in the original wrapping. Deep turquoise blue. I unfortunately missed the return date on them. One round one, one oblong 2'x3' I think and one slightly larger size, maybe 4'x6'? I'm sure I'll have more stuff but it will be little things I'll price super cheap. I want to leave room for offers, which is why I don't want to put the stuff out at bottom feeder prices to start with. I hate haggling but it appears it is a tradition at yard sales

All I can offer is maybe check Facebook Marketplace to see what similar items are selling for. Also, anything of value stays close to you. Regardless how cheap items are, people still like to steal. They do it around here and doubt your area's an exception.

The "valuable" stuff is the big stuff. it would be pretty obvious if they try to steal it. Still, a good point. Thanks for the heads up!

Do you have a pic of that? Terrell may want to buy it for the cat pen. Maybe I need to come over and scope out all that patio furniture before the sale to upgrade the cat pen,

That stuff would do well on Facebook Marketplace with local pick-up. You can ask for a fair price that way. Stick to your guns when you price them. I would check Marketplace and eBay for prices.
I wish that I lived close to you!

I wish that I lived close to you! I'd have to open a new FB account. I can't get the password reset on my old one LOL. I hate that FB makes you do that, since it artificially inflates the numbers they give to advertisers But maybe I'll do it for some of the big furniture type stuff. I suppose I could also put it on NextDoor. I was looking at prices on FBMP - thanks for the tip!

I list on NextDoor and only sold one thing there. Hopefully, yours is better. There is also OfferUp, but I don't like it since I have to write the ads on my cell.
Craigslist, too. But you have to be careful with those people. However, my friend sells on Craigslist often with no problems.

Everything I have listed on my ND has sold and been as a porch pickup. I haven't listed a whole bunch of things but have some ready to go now. We have also have localized online "yard sale" groups that you have to live in the area to post stuff.
I don't list clothes or knickknacks but yard stuff, tools, Christmas trees, and kitchen stuff like Val has.

I sold a Barbie doll on Nextdoor. I throw everything on there since it is so easy to list there.

JMO I think we should list that good stuff on ND or FB first because you aren't going to get anything for it at a yard sale. I can come pick it up in the truck and list it over here on my ND if you decide to do it that way.

I just sold a Dooney & Bourke purse on FBMP 2 days ago for $160. No way would I have gotten 1/4 of that at a garage sale.

MP let you list a Dooney? Heck, they won't let me list a Hillfiger $10 tee

MP let you list a Dooney? Heck, they won't let me list a Hillfiger $10 tee A couple years ago, I would have every other Ralph Lauren or Tommy Bahama item get rejected. Or it would let me list it, then if I tried to renew the listing, it would get rejected. It let me list things like a Big Green Egg for $300, but no Ralph Lauren polo for $20. I hate to jinx myself, but I haven’t had anything rejected for a very long time. Not sure why.
