I googled to see if essential oils would repel spiders (yeah, they're back). What's the first thing I see on the webpages? A picture of a spider. Seriously. If I'm searching how to repel spiders, why would a website think I wanted to see a picture of the very thing I want to repel? *SMH* Meanwhile, sunny and high 70s here today. Kritter should be happy, especially if she didn't get to finish the weedwacking yesterday

I did finish the weed whacking in the front yard but still have the side by the driveway to do. Not much of a project so on to bigger things.
Have to make a run to the post office and then will unpack all my Christmas deer that I bought on sale. I think there are maybe 12 of them. I going to take off the lights so if anybody needs strands of lights, let me know. Hope to get them all set up in the back yard this week.

It is going to be a sight for the ages when I get done.
I also picked up a cat family of 4 over 4 different trips to Ross DFL. Definitely from the same manufacturer but they dwindled in to the store over about 9 weeks time.

Barney was apparently at the front of a new trend.
OMG. You HAVE to watch the video! No wonder he won!

If a cat is entered in a voting contest, the cat will win especially if the cat is a rescue.
Cat people will win.

There were several cats entered. I think the video put Crash over the top. It was too cute, especially the beginning where he was reading the entry form online.

In my house, every day is respect your cat day Except when they break something while playing. Then respect goes out the window for a few hours It's really windy outside today. My wind chimes are going nuts.

Slipping cat meat into things like pies and stews ("pottage") was actually not uncommon, then it would be passed off as beef or mutton. Richard II was one of Britains wobblier monarchs but he was 100% good on this! Chilly under a white sky today - I went out for a fast pack - last real effort before the 15k on Saturday. We're making a weekend out of it - staying a couple of nights and maybe doing some thrifting and definitely some pubbing. The DH is bringing his bike and he's going to ride from the hotel in Bellingham up to the Canadian border and meet me at the finish. We'll both probably be wet but dry jackets in the car!

Simon is sooooooo lazy. He was in one of the raised cat beds by the sofa last night and a mosquito started flying around. Simon would reach out with his paws and try to catch it, but didn't move anything else. He was too comfy I guess. The funny part was when he'd try to catch the mosquito with both paws, like a human does with their hand. It was quite amusing to watch

A cat, a cat, my kingdom for a cat! That was Richard III - not wobbly, very lethal but not as bad as he was made out to be. He probably liked cats - he was British, after all!

I stand corrected, but unbowed. I must hie me to the coronation, and I can't find my horse.

We are waiting for the cheap topsoil to arrive at Home Depot. Just used our last bags to fill in digger dog holes.

National 'Tater Day, eh? I'd have to say my favorite potato would be baked, followed very closely by scalloped. Dang. Now you have me wanting a loaded baked potato for dinner

Mulch sale at Lowes. $2 per bag. Sale price good until 4/13. If anyone is in the market for mulch, this is very good quality. We purchased the mulch last year when Kritter posted about the sale. Some bags had a few large pieces in them, but the majority of what we received was very good. And for that price, it's a steal. We buy large quantities of mulch every few years, and I've never seen prices like this. I'm surprised that it's still selling for 2.00 a bag when just about everything else has skyrocketed in price. So if you need mulch, don't hesitate to purchase.

Tornado watches here until 10 PM. Going to unplug my washer and dryer in a few minutes. Getting dark.
This is the storm from Tennessee and Arkansas. Had on the AC for a bit today. Going to turn it back to heat in a bit for later tonight.
No word on puppies yet. Pacing😜

We had a storm blow through earlier and off and on sun/overcast with some lighter rain. Had to get a few things from grocery store and timed it perfectly to go out in the sun and got home as dark clouds were arriving. Wind advisory and had gusts but thankfully power stayed on.
labby, I hope you get word on the puppies soon and a new member will be joining the family soon.

We got the storms here yesterday. My poor crocuses got squished for the third time by hail. I don't think they'll come back this year after that. Had 70 - 75 mph gusts and about 2" of rain but nothing damaged, just stuff blown around. The weirdest thing was about half a dozen branches that came down landed buried 4 - 6" into the ground! They think a small tornado touched down about 8 miles from us. Damaged roofs, broken power poles, and uprooted trees there. Lots of traffic lights out around the area (and lots of people who unplug their brains and just run them!)

They had a major power cable come across the main highway going from the NW suburbs into Philly. It is blocking 8 lanes of traffic. I am going to have to detour going into and home from work and will have to pack a gun. Not safe to drive through that area during the day. Will have to see if Waze shows another way. I think the one road through Valley Forge Park is closed.

We had 70 mph winds yesterday. Last Saturday was bad too.
I have spent about a dozen days trying to rake up all of the pine tree poop when the days aren't as cold. Once again, my yard is covered with the stuff. It is almost time to start mowing, but I have to get it all raked up first.
Tons of trees down on wires everywhere. Kudos to the firemen.
But it will be 80 this Wednesday! Too soon.

Really pretty! I have about 2,000 pine cones in my yard. A lady on MP wrote to ask if she could come to get 350 pine cones for a senior center art project. But she hasn't come yet.
