Interesting. I prefer Stevia.

Some of the low-sugar items have a huge list of chemicals as their ingredients. I am getting to the point where I would rather eat a lot less of something than consume all of that junk. Instead of zero-sugar RS candy, I now eat a few dark chocolate chips.

And I am okay with eating just 1/2 cup of whole wheat pasta. Not really, but I have to be. Apparently, I can have 30 grams of carbs per meal.

And I just bought a bag of Monk Fruit sweetener for DH He's not much for artificial sweeteners anyway so will use a tsp here and there. He said that his bowl of oatmeal was pretty dismal with no sweetener.

I didn't realize some stevia brands also add erythritol to the mix HEB brand has erythritol. I'll have to find another brand when I run out of what I have.

Oh crap. I have a bag of Monk Fruit sweetener and the first ingredient is erythritol. The stuff is expensive. I haven't used it yet.

Would this be at all a solution or at least helpful? You can also order from the company. I don't eat spiralized veg 'pasta' or another of the other fake pastas because they taste awful to me (of course, right now everything tastes kind of weird), or I'm just not crazy about the texture (spiralized veg) and would tend to put them on TOP of regular pasta lol. So I'm trying this. I don't have to watch carbs but I like the idea of a combo pasta that's higher protein.

I'm weird. I actually prefer zoodles, cauliflower rice, or french cut green beans over pasta.

I did order in Shiritaki noodles, although I hesitated since they have Konjac powder. But ladies say that it can cause diarrhea, which I need a bit of since my chemo causes constipation. But it came in a package of liquid and is squishy. Ugh. I am good with the spiral pasta but forgot to order zucchini. Spaghetti squash is the bomb, and I am looking forward to the summer season to buy it. Val-I just made the popular green bean casserole, which would be okay to eat. I didn't put on as many of the French Fried onion rings though.

The Hungry Girl site has instructions on draining and using shiritaki noodles.
