Probably just over the weekend. She doesn't have it on all the time. Mostly just when she isn't supervised.

Rainbow has turned into a spoiled diva kitten in foster. That is not going to work in her new home so I am bringing her here later this week so she can see how the real world of cats operates. She won't eat kibble plus she will only drink water our of a glass instead of her water bowl.

The glass was sitting on a table by the couch and lil diva walked over and started drinking. No "getting" involved.

Rainbow goes in for her spay and eye enucleation tomorrow morning. She saw her vet yesterday and the vet said there is no eyeball present in the socket. chapeaunoir The vet's office will take donations over the phone at 210 804-2000 for Rainbow Howard's surgery or you can send a Paypal to ClausCCDtnr@gmail.com. The combined surgeries will cost around $800 depending on how much debris she has to clean out of the eye socket. Thank you for your offer. I didn't see this now but I sent some $$$ per paypal - hopefully it'll help!

Thank you, Tabby. Every buck helps with her vet bills. Even thouugh my vet lowers the cost for rescues, that surgery etc. was an not a forecasted expense for us.

Rainbow has suffered a setback. Her surgery eye started draining yesterday so she went back to her vet. Seems like she has developed an infection in that eye. By yesterday afternoon the eye was drainging blood so she is now wearing a second collar and is not allowed any physical activity as that seems to accelerate the draining. Also got an antibiotic injection and is due back for another vet visit tomorrow. If she doesn't get better, the vet is going to have to reopen the incision and clean out the abscess which would mean the recovery period would start again. Rainbow was supposed to come here today and the kittens go to that foster but it is better if Rainbow stays there until we figure out what is going on with her. So, I have 6 five week old kittens hiding behind the toilet in my bathroom. Need to pick up more books at the library tomorrow as I forsee reading to kittens in my future.

^^^^ Is that Rainbow sleeping maybe? Yes, she likes to lay between the couch and window with the window open so she can catch the breezes. She has learned that if she tosses her head in a certain way, she can flip the plastic collar off because it is a little big on her.

So, I have 6 five week old kittens hiding behind the toilet in my bathroom. Kritter, I'm sorry that Rainbow's having such a rough time. But happy to hear that you're once again hosting the Kitten Bathroom Rodeo! 🥸 LOL Wish I could be there to help wrangle them (and probably pee my pants laughing!).

LOL I know...good times. These cuties are still pretty much shell shocked at the change in their life. Good news is that they are eating kibble so the canned food mess can be averted. They are pretty much camped out behind the toilet now so the rodeo hasn't started yet. You still have time to come for a visit but don't forget to bring extra pants.

She was dropped off at the vet this morning to see how things were going. Looks like things are looking better. Dr. Campbell said there is just a small place at the inside corner of her eye where there is a small opening. Rest of the stitched area looks good. Still on for stitch removal on Monday.
Several employees at the vet's office want to adopt her. Apparently she is a big hit there.

From what you've said about her, I'd think she'd be a big hit with anyone she meets. Cats that friendly are had to find. She's special.
Have the kittens come out from behind the toilet yet?

They are our from behind the toilet because I have a blockade where they can't get back there anymore. Got some pics and will post them in a bit. I have to make a run at cleaning up this house because it is in danger of being condemmed as a health hazard. The two shyest kits are moving over to Rainbow's foster with a crate tomorrow.

Rainbow had her stitches removed today. There was a small amount of discharge which showed there was still some bacterial infection so she wears her collars until Friday afternoon when she gets another checkup. She is the sweetest most affectionate cat ever. Wants to give kisses to everybody she meets.

Rainbow goes back to the vet on Monday to have one stitch put in to close that tiny opening at the inside corner of her eye where it didn't heal completely. Hopefully, we are done then.
Hoping to get kitten pics today.

Rainbow went home today. FINALLY! She has one more vet visit to get the 3 stitches out at the inside corner of her eye that hadn't healed from the first surgery.
