bettyblackbent might also be able to help. Chap is in the UK right now on vacation so I don't know how often she's checking in. Betty checks in now and then. So it might be a few days before either of them reply to you.

That's counted cross-stitch, right? I would just describe it as a vintage hand-embroidered piece. I have listed a lot of vintage embroidered pieces and that looks like a very old design.

The tulips remind me of the ones on this Amish quilt. Or folk art.

Darn..I can't get it to show up....google to find vintage folk art tulips. I would go with that.

Bottom one is Indonesian, ikat middle.

The first piece appears to be appliqué and of South American influence. The middle piece may be tapestry or woven inlay. The bottom piece does look like some of it is Ikat and some is embroidery with heavier couched threads. Closer image to see detail would help. Again, perhaps South American influence.

@amanda, it helps if you post larger pictures when you're asking for info based on texture, weave etc. Instead of using the add image to post button, save your pics at a picture hosting site (many here use imgur), copy/paste the bbl code into your post. It's pretty easy to do.
