So I go to list a few things in my draft which were created with the (new) classic formatting and lo and behold, the formatting was gigantic (in size now, not just length) so you have to scroll miles to get to the end. Photos are first and you have to search for any text you've entered. I hope the phone people are happy with this but for me, it's horrible. Like coloring a delicate drawing with big fat crayons that are hard to get out of the box. Why, oh why, can't eBay just leave well enough alone? That's what I said to them in feedback. I hope this is a beta that will go away. Anybody else seeing this?

It is not in beta. This is the new listing form that has been rolling out. I have it also. Many complaints on the ebay boards about it.

I got it too. IT SUCKS!! Can't load more than 1 picture at a time or the listing page refreshes itself and I lose everything I've already entered.

Mine started yesterday, but luckily, my pictures load okay and the format isn't too big.....yet. I haven't checked my other eBay store yet. I am used to adding the 45+ item specifics, but prefer the old way. Too much clicking is required now.

Mine listing tool changed since yesterday too. Maybe the new one follows the format of listing from phone or tablet closer? My drafts look identical on phone and laptop now. I don't like the huge font but suppose I'll get used to it same as all the other inane rather useless changes they've rolled out over the years.

It's not a beta. They've been rolling it out for months. I was on a Zoom with eBay this AM & asked a member of the new listing tool team if they were toying with the idea of letting people use the old listing tool & the answer is no. They told me the old tool is on an old technology platform, so they must be moving away from it. They did however say that they are aware of the posts on the boards & are reading & constantly improving it. I know for a fact there have been a number of positive changes to it. Personally, I don't use it, but from what I've read, I would hate it (& the little exposure I've had when editing items).
Your best bet is to post specifics about what you don't like & to use the feeback link to give SPECIFIC info on what is causing you problems. Those links DO work, I have been contacted numerous times by eBay in regards to things I submitted via the links.

I tested the beta and I was also an early opt-in to the form so I've been using it for a while. The beta was awful, and after a while when I was opted in, there were still a lot of problems - page jumping, some shipping options missing, load lag. These problems have been fixed and I don't find it takes any longer to list using that form than the classic form now. I actually went back and used the classic form a few times just to compare (you can get into it through bulk sell) and save for the one-page format for the classic listing form, which I think is superior, it didn't really make a lot of difference.
However, I did not have that huge font/giant scrolling problem. If you haven't cleared your cache in a while I'd do that as some corrupt files in there can sometimes affect your browser, then reboot your device. I'd also try another browser and see what you find.
Definitely I'd send feedback about the problem if it keeps up - that sounds like a huge pain.
eBay could have offered an in-line tutorial with it, but like a lot of things, I think they rolled it out not ready for prime-time, then depending upon our patience while they tried to clean it up.

That was one thing she mentioned on the Zoom this AM, that they are going to increase the info on the how-to's, as some of that was left to be desired. I don't use the tool, but she mentioned the sliders as being for what you want to have show up on your form & it seemed like not everyone understood that that was the point of the sliders. I specifically asked her if they had tested it or expected the rollout to be the test & so I'm glad to hear that you played a part in the test b/c she indicated that it was tested. It was not the right venue for me to be negative or dig deep on how it was tested.

I tried it last night and honestly it worked about the same as always so as usual, us sellers will adapt. The font etc is quite large on my page. I obsessively clear cache, history, cookies every 1-2 weeks so I don't think that's causing the size. But I'm using Safari and refuse to switch to another browser so will either get used to the jumbo font OR they'll fix it so it plays a little nicer for us Apple/MAC heads. Whatever. I've got TONS of stuff to list and refuse to be slowed down yet again.

I've dumped Safari on my Mac because I was encountering issues on almost every website I viewed. Apple somehow screwed Safari up and Chrome/Mac is a lot better now.

I think I got opted in in the last couple of days. I am coming at it through List Perfectly, however. The screens are definitely different, but it's not bad at all. I went to ebay like I was going to create a listing there, and I can see why people don't like it.

My buying ID is opted in too. It is okay and I am glad that I don't have the huge screens or anything. The shipping is a bit of an adventure, though.

Call me crazy but I like it! It has resolved some my issues with the old format and I'm listing much quicker. It is much easier to do sell similar but even a new listing is much easier. I know most people hate it though, but we'll get used to it. Most of us probably don't even remember the older formats. Oh the dark days of Ebay! LOL!
