Has anyone else seen this on their ebay page? A new "ebay envelope" for small items 1-3oz, such as stamps, coins, cards, etc. Cost is very low, only .53 to .93 cents for the shipping labels. Tracking won't be provided or go through the USPS, but they are saying you will have coverage for missing or lost packages. I can see the scammers coming on this one. It seems like they are trying to ease into their own delivery system like Amazon has. There will be a lot of misuse on these labels for sure. pages.ebay.com/seller-center/shipping/ebay-standard-envelope.html?_trkparms=%26clkid%3D4930327983125669328#m22_tb_a1__8

The option to ship via that method is only in those categories and you can only print the labels through eBay. I don't know how the tracking works because it's not USPS scanned, but updated "through eBay customers"...whatever that means. I plan on using it for some postcards, but I'm not going to hold out a lot of hope that it will be worthwhile. In order for someone to use it, they'd have to list in those categories, so abuse potential should be small, but who knows.

It's not new & the potential for abuse, while it exists, is actually quite minimal.

It's also creating problems for machined flats - some items (cards, etc.) have been damaged from equipment. The USPS doesn't recognise the mail class and if there are problems it's treated just like any other untracked flat. Still, some people have been doing OK with t.
