I had a pkg ret'd to me for wrong addy back in early April. The intended recipient (who is not the buyer) wrote me afterwards & said her daughter bought it & had it sent to the wrong address. She said she still wanted the item. I told her 'no prob, just re-pay shipping'. She was cool with that & wrote me that she had opened a PP acct to do that. That's the last I heard from her & it's now September. The sale was sometime in March.
I've been keeping the pkg here unopened, but I'm wondering how long to wait? How long would you wait? It has long ago dropped off my SOLD items & honestly, it's been so long, I don't even remember all the details of the situation.
I know most of you do what I do & just set it aside, but it's been years since I've had 1 like this where they never got back in touch. It's nothing special, typical $25 top.

I wouldn't wait more than 30 days. I would probably send a second invoice at 21 days and let them know they had 7 days to pay. I don't think these things happen very often so it is hard to know how to handle them.

Six months was my traditional time to call a forfeit because of Paypal. Now that Paypal isn't in the picture anymore, it could be whenever it drops off the feedback possibility for eBay time frame or longer if I want to be nice.

Thanks guys, yeah I was realizing that I'm not sure I even know how to contact her anymore since it's dropped off of Ebay's list. I guess it would still be in My Messages, but that's an awful lot to dig through. I see no reason to contact her again, as we'd been in touch, so I think I'll just open it & relist it. Appreciate the input!
