I may have gotten myself into a bit of a jam. I sold a sewing pattern to someone in Canada. She asked if I could ship directly because GSP was so high. Silly me, I said, "Sure!" forgetting about needing some sort of HS Tariff code. I tried looking it up and got 3 different numbers. In other words...HELP! I managed to get to a schedule B page on the US Census Bureau site, and I THINK i figured out the correct number, but could someone who ships international PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look it up for me so I can figure out if I got the same number and did it right? I'm going to sleep now and will check back tomorrow. I'll probably dream of the tariff police coming to get me! lol
Also: If I set the listing up to use Ebay's eBay International Standard Delivery, can I still use Pirate Ship to print the label? Thanks!

Yes on the Pirateship and you might find that it's a lot cheaper. I did a quick search on Tariff code and came up with 630790. I honestly have no idea if that one is correct, but it says:
630790 - Made up articles, of textile materials, including dress patterns

PantlandiaI haven't shipped internationally in a few years, but I used to ship to Canada quite a bit. I've never heard of tariff codes. Is this something new? I was thinking of starting international shipping again, but I'm still on the fence about it.

Someone on a Facebook page I belong to pointed me to this site:
Seems to be pretty helpful when shipping to Canada.

They are used for determining duties and taxes.

Turn's out I already had Pirateship's Simple Export Rate thing. My panic attack was totally unnecessary!
