like these? www.ebay.com/itm/274449969147?hash=item3fe67e2ffb:g:lpYAAOSwr2tfKn~DIf so, pluses & minuses? I use the velvet hangers, but haven't tried the clips. Hoping for something a little more low profile than a typical skirt hanger & secondly, something a little less likely to crimp the fabric, though it appears the crimps are not velvet. Just wondering if anyone has had real life experience with them?

I've never used those, but I've had problems with clip marks on the waistline of my skirts. What I finally ended up doing and it work well for me, was to get a package of those cotton squares. The kind you would use instead of cotton balls to remove nail polish, etc. The little square padded cotton pads. I fold a square over the skirt waistline where the clip goes and clip the clipper right over the cotton pad. It protects the skirt or pants from getting clip marks. Doesn't look so neat but does the job and all my skirts are hanging in a closet so I never see them anyway.

I don't really have the time/patience to do it on everything. That's why I was hoping this may be a solution. But yeah, it def works to help minimize & depending on how thick the cotton is, even prevent them altogether.

All are good suggestions. I have that problem too, since I hang everything. I have been using scrap paper folded in halves or quarters.

Actually I use the rectangular papers from behind my stick-on shipping labels that accumulate all over my packing table.

Well, I just got my order of these & it's no better than regular clippy hangers :-( The actual clip parts are a hard plastic & have a bunch of crimps. The whole lever is flocked, but the actual clip is not. No biggie, I only spent $5 & I'll still be able to use them, but it's not the panacea I was hoping for!
