I lost over 30 pounds during the past year. No, I haven't been sick, just eating less by choice.
So I have a closet full of now baggy pants. I'm listing some and I'm shopping for some that fit the current me.
One listing I rejected because the pants were described as having an elastic waist, but the waist didn't stretch.
One in the title said Beige Embroiled Pants. I had to look. In the description they again described them as "embroiled". They also said the crouch was good.
What are you picturing in your mind's eye?

Congrats on the weight loss!
What are you picturing in your mind's eye?
This is a question you don't want to ask me.
My all time favorite is still from years ago. A seller listed a negligee. Description read, "Wash in genital cycle". I will never forget that one.

Not pants, but a shirt. Many years ago, a buyer alerted me that there was an error in the title of my listing for a “brown shit.” Oops.

The fact is was a "brown shit" makes it even funnier.

Congrats on the weight loss I know how hard it is!
Years ago I used to search lots to buy plus size clothes to resell. I remember many times a shawl was called a shaw. Not sure why? And Pleats called bleats. Repeatedly lol. Sequence for sequins. And then the time mom and I were looking at cloth dolls and there was a Rattety Ann

I always giggled (and still do) when someone lists a bowl as a "bowel". (There are currently 72 listings on ebay under "bowl" with one that covered the bases with both spellings).

One of the worst is when someone says in their listing that they lost a lot of weight and are selling their old clothes. "My loss is your gain."

That is saying "hahaha, you are fat and I am not anymore". I have lost about 35 pounds during the last year, without being sick. I am listing some clothes that are now too big for me. I am just saying that they no longer fit me. I'm hoping people will assume I've gained weight. Then I hope they'll buy because they feel sorry for me or feel pleased because they think they are smaller than me.

I ran across a listing that said "I hope I'm never this big ever again" on some size 12 clothes. I purchased them and almost left FB saying "Thanks for selling me your 'fat clothes'." But at least I knew to stifle myself even if the seller didn't.

I don't get why sellers think they need to put in their listings why they are selling their stuff, where they got them, or any other chitty chat stuff.
As a buyer I only need to know the material, condition if preowned, and the measurements on clothes or even less on other stuff so that is all I include in my listings.

I sometimes add the info that the clothes are from the seller's closet because some buyers seem to prefer that over clothes that sellers purchased at a thrift shop. I've known people who would take a used item given them by someone they knew & even pay for same, but they shuddered at the thought of wearing something from a thrift shop. "No telling who might've tried it on". I wanted to tell them the same thing was true of clothing purchased from a rack in a store.
