On Monday, May 3rd a buyer opened a not received case. She explained that it must have been stolen from her front door step when she was out of town but had a house sitter. Ebay is holding the payment. The delivery was almost 2 weeks ago, on Apr. 20th. so they actually took the payment out of what I should've gotten on Tues, May 4th. I know when it was delivered because there was tracking and that's when USPS says they delivered.
I put the tracking number in my response. I've had no more communication from ebay about this. Does anyone have experience with this type of situation? How long does it take? Should I try to contact ebay about it?

Usually once you enter proof of delivery, that's it. eBay in the past has found for the seller in this situation. Can't hurt to call though. It's not the seller's fault when something is stolen from the front door after delivery. She should have picked a better address. I learned this one the hard way as a buyer on Amazon.

I just checked the status of the case. It says they're waiting for the buyer's response. So, I'll use the option to send her another message.

Well, that's b.s. You uploaded tracking that shows delivered. You did your part and ebay needs to do its part by releasing your funds.

I would not send her another message. Call Ebay or actually, do the have them call you, since you can't call right now & they should close the case immediately.

Why would you send her another message? You entered the tracking number showing it was delivered.
Call ebay to get them to close the case.

I finally got eBay to close the case. The case was started early on May 3rd. I called on May 6th & was told it was too early; it should be taken care of tomorrow. The agent also said it should've happened automatically, but sometimes it doesn't. She agreed that the buyer did not have a real case. But she still would not close it right then. I didn't want to waste my time so I just hung up & gave bad feedback on the email I soon received.
It did not get closed today, Friday May 7th, so I called again. This time it was quickly closed. I thanked the agent, but also complained that the online instructions to ask eBay to step in did not work. It took me back to the info on the case where I was supposed to choose "take action", but there was no "take action" upon which to click. She ignored that and I pictured her thinking, "Duh, of course not, this is eBay you know!"

I'm glad they finally closed the case, but it shouldn't have taken this much effort.
