I got a message on my main ID about member to member contact, it said that any contact information including phone numbers and email address wasn't allowed. On my secondary id I got the same thing minus the contact information.
I often get packages returned to me due to insufficient address, I pass the cost to re-ship on to the buyer. Not sure how I can do that if we can't share email address.

A couple weeks ago Griff and Brian Burke answered this question and stated that after a transaction it’s allowed to exchange contact information in the eBay messages. I’ll look tomorrow and post the screenshot of the transcript I saved. The question that brought this up if I recall correctly was a seller had a package returned and needed to invoice the buyer to re-ship.

Yeah, for this reason they have to allow some way for sellers to share personal info in order to receive money for re-shipment. I have one package coming back because the buyer didn't provide an apartment number. I already paid $10 to ship it to them. I'm not paying that again.

Sorry, I forgot to come back here today, I’ll try to remember when I’m on my computer tomorrow. When exchanging info was not allowed, some of us would make a jpg of the info and attach it to the message. I did it a few times for legitimate reasons and fortunately the buyer opened it.

Good to know Kat b/c I got the same message, but then I had the situation described above & it DID allow me to send my email to the buyer.
The B hasn't paid again, despite her telling me she still wants the item, but why should I expect a 2FB buyer who didn't have her correct addy in there to begin with, to be on top of things :-|
