All of a sudden my labels are messed up. The label layout is at a 90 degree angle from usual, portrait rather than landscape, so it won't fit on a single half-sheet label. I can't see any way to correct this.

I think it's on the 2nd screen, I don't see it on the first page, but I can't check until I print labels, which I'll do in an hour or so. I'll report back after that.

I think this is a browser issue and you'll need to reset your preferences - this happened to me with thermal labels and it's on every site I sell on and pirateship. What browser are you using?

I'm using Chrome

Apparently I can no longer use labels. I have to print on plain paper, cut them out, and tape them on. That's great.

It sounds like your print orientation just changed, easy fix. Just gotta figure out where. I can't imagine why you suddenly wouldn't be able to use labels. Are you talking about the 8 1/2 x 11 2-up labels or those special tiny printer labels?

It is working fine for me, I just did it & I am on Chrome. However, I did not find the place to change the orientation. You can always choose to use your system print dialog & change it to landscape there. I'll post screen shots. But I did not have to do that, it just worked fine for me, like always.
ETA: To clarify, I am using normal 2-up, 8 1/2x11 labels, not a zebra (or whatever they're called) little printer with little labels.

I always use my system print dialog and also have preferences set to show label before I print. This prevents bad surprises from actually printing.

Ok 2 places where you can normally change the Orientation BUT I do not see the option in either place where it should be. 1- when you go to the print label screen, click the more settings 1/2 way down the right hand side & you will see this: It should normally appear here, but it doesn't, so the workaround is to go to the bottom where it says Print Using System Dialog, click on that & just change your system dialog to landscape. Don't forget to change it back. The other place it SHOULD be, but I don't see it, is on the Ship Your Order screen - on the right, where it says Order Details, on the bottom it says "Show More", click that & at the very bottom it says Print Format, click Change &/or Preview & orientation should be there, but I don't see it. If you play around with it a bit, the Preview takes you to a dialog that should allow you to change it in there.

Yup, that's what I just suggested she do to get around it. I do NOT normally use the system dialog & it is working fine here & I use Chrome too, but the way to get around it is to use the system print dialog. IDK where the orientation change went though. I can't find it on the 2 screens where it should be. I'll keep looking in case they moved it.

Zoesam, I'm using the same kind of labels.
Yes, I can see from the preview that it's wrong. I can't see any way to fix it. I just printed on plain paper but I'm hoping that I won't have to do this forever.

Thank you for your help. I'll see if I can do that next time. With sales as slow as they are, that might be a few days from now.

By that time, whoever's problem it is, will likely have it fixed LOL, since you're clearly not alone. You can peruse the answers in the threads I linked on Ebay's boards too. I think using the system print dialog is the easiest way to go though. Just remember to change it back before or when you want to print something portrait.

FFFFFFF, it's now happening to me & I have 10 labels to print. Worse than that, I found 2 ways to do it where it shows up proper in my preview, both by using the System Dialog & also by saving it to a PDF & then manipulating it inside of the PDF, BOTH show it properly landscape & then BOTH printed it WRONG - portrait! So, I'm going to go research what the Ebay boards are saying, since I have so many to do, but I cannot find a way to actually print it correctly & I had DH try it too. He is also technical & he also was easily able to adjust it so it previews as though it's going to print landscape, but then does NOT. Jeremy Pantlandia have you run into this yet & if so, have you figured out a way around it? I know the Ebay boards last night had mentioned saving it as a PDF, but that doesn't work. It looks correct in the Preview & then prints wrong. Argghhh.

Someone on the Ebay boards is suggesting that Bulk Shipping may work b/c it did the last time they screwed this up. I tried it & it looks like it would work, it's showing me the proper format, BUT I can't be sure b/c I can't fully do it, since it's trying to buy all my labels at once & I can't figure out how to select just one. If anyone who is having the problem, can try Bulk Shipping & report back, that'd be great.

Are any of you guys using thermal labels? With mine it prints out really small and in the wrong orientation, so I have to go into the system dialog box, preferences and change the label size parameters, each and every label. Then it prints out fine.

Then it prints out fine. No. The problem seems to be affecting those of us using regular 2-ups, but the actual problem seems to be that they internally at Ebay changed the format to thermals. So, it's not only printing portrait, but also small. As I posted, fixing it in the system dialog box does NOT work for those of us having the problem. Nor does fixing the orientation in a PDF. It looks like it's going to work, that is, the Preview shows right, but it still prints wrong. Got conf from BrianT at Ebay that they are working on it, but no ETA for a fix. I'm working on trying 2 other things, one being Bulk Shipping, but it won't let me do just 1 in Bulk Shipping, so I have to ready 12 pkgs before I try it. IF that works, that will be the fastest way to deal with it b/c the other way involves changing a bunch of stuff in the PDF. Again, if anyone has only 1 or 2 to print, PLEASE try Bulk Shipping & see if that works, it looks like it might. ETA: Interesting that you're using thermals & still have to do something. Did you used to have to go chg stuff in the Dialog box?

No, I never used to have to change anything. It's why I wondered if any of you were using thermal labels. I know about the problems with the regular print labels but no one mentioned thermal. I'm having problems on all the sites I'm using, but I can fix them label by label.
ETA: If they changed formatting to thermal that was silly and short-sighted.

So here's what prolly happened LOL, they were probably making a necessary & legit change to thermals (why you're seeing it on multiple sites), which is now why you're having to go in & change the dialog, so they prolly messed up that implementation, but then in the process of attempting that change, they seem to have given those of us using 2-ups, the thermal labels LMAO. Unfortunately, we cannot fix it label by label. I've tried 4 different ways at this point. I have 2 more to try.

Emerald_Door & anyone else having the problem. Here's the easiest solution. This seems so obvious, I'm not sure why no one else has mentioned it. Just print it on a label, with the defaults it wants to use, no changing anything. Notice that the UPC fits on the first label fully. Then you can just cut the label in 1/2 vertically. See pic below. Yes, this is still wrong, it still involves a little cutting & a bit of waste, but it's a WHOLE lot easier than printing it on regular paper & cutting & taping & all that **bleep**. Then you can just feed the other 1/2 into your printer for the next label. This is a million times easier than anything else I've seen suggested here & none of the other suggestions or my own trials of other ways worked. I tried 2 different ways of fixing the PDF that was suggested on the Ebay boards & they didn't work & were complex anyway. I have not tried Bulk Shipping yet, but someone else on those boards did & said it didn't work either. I'm just not sure why no one else has done this, it's super simple & works well. Makes me think I'm missing something.

Yeah, I'm only referring to the problem with 2-up, 8 1/2 x 11 labels. I have no idea about the thermal labels. Sorry. Tho' as I said above, I do think there is some relationship between them with how the problem originated, but I just don't know anything about the thermal problem.

There appears to be two problems going on, then, one an eBay problem and one native to Firefox (or perhaps other browsers) - that makes it confusing to suss out. This is what I'm having when I try to print eBay labels - it has the wrong orientation: On other sites the sizing is wrong. Ooops - forgot redaction.
