Title says it all. I've never sold it before, but I have a couple of pieces & just did a search on skirts & there's barely any sales above $30. The vast majority are $2-3 sales. Not a typo, TWO to THREE DOLLARS! WTF?
Am I just wrong & it was never a good brand or did something happen? Jeez I can sell Nygard for more than that & he's a sexual predator.

It tanked several years ago for me. Can hardly give it away.

I used to do well with Nanette Lepore but that was a long time ago - I still have a few pieces, which I will probably just donate. I never pick it up unless it's one of her older more iconic dresses, but those are usually up-priced at any thrifts I find them in.

Reading that article, sounds like she should have listened to her instincts and not the bean counting financial "advisors" she hired.

Thanks treetop that was an interesting article! What stood out to me is that everything she did was considered the normal & accepted way of building your brand, these days. Although the article didn't specifically mention it, it was interesting that the downfall came in 2020. Fascinating that she had a line of judge's robes for women. Too bad, my item is actually really cute too, but not an iconic dress (which I thought were ugly). Oh well, hopefully it will sell on it's merits.

I took a BO of $70 for this and you can see why I bought it but I have two dresses that are just sitting I don't think I'll pick it up any more in general, unless it's something like this.

That's lovely! I've had this item for awhile. Wish it wasn't a size 6, it's adorable & I'd wear it in a heartbeat & I'm not a frilly feminine type. Oh well, live & learn.

Reading that article, sounds like she should have listened to her instincts and not the bean counting financial "advisors" she hired. It was the kind of generic advice given to successful small businesses and which too many people listen to. Over-expansion is probably the greatest killer of successful smaller businesses - they don't all scale, nor do they need to.

A lot of the Nanette Lepore worn on Gossip Girl still sells well and fetches a decent amount.

The one thing I used to do well with were the skirt suits. When I was still selling, I would ask $30 for shirts, $30 - $40 for pants. I used to get $70-$80 for the skirt suits. And then it tanked. I felt, at the time, that it was over saturation on Ebay. But I really have no idea.
