EBay just sent me an email, as I am a member of the "eBay Council," asking my opinion of an email they will be sending out to eBay members. They're discontinuing the Bucks program, effective April 1. However, you can sign up for an eBay Mastercard. I answered their survey about the email.

I don't spend enough to care either way. Their 1% (or however little it is) falls well short of my Amazon cards 5%, so that's where most of my money goes. I have the eBay Mastercard and my interest is VERY HIGH, so will be paying it off and probably never using it again.

I bought more in the past few months than in quite a while but I still don’t earn that much. No big loss to me.

I was wondering if buyers bought more after receiving their eBay Bucks.

As a buyer, the eBay Buck % was far lower than other programs I belonged to. I'd rather eBay dropped the Bucks and signed backup with Rapid Rewards Shopping. THAT would make me more likely to check eBay first.

I never get much in the way of ebay bucks but have a lot of ebay cash-back accumulated.
I also forgot to use my 25.00 coupon last quarter for the free shipping supplies. All I ever do is order free stickers and I'm accumulating a bunch of those things. I did get some of those black shoe bags back in September and they were sort of nice, good quality, but I really don't sell many shoes.

I never bothered signing up, but curious Emerald, is the Council program worth it? I've been asked a number of times, but have never bothered to sign up for that either.

I tried to buy alot more on Ebay this holiday season and it didn't work out. But I did get about 10.00 in Ebay bucks.
I agree with everyone else though. All in all not really worth it.

I bought more when they had periods with a higher percentage like 10% ebay bucks.

My pickup wasn't done once last week & around 8PM I got my usual email, but instead of saying that it was not done b/c they couldn't find the pkgs, like it always has, it says the pickup request was complete! It wasn't, the pkgs were still there. So, it seems they've changed things up. At least for me. It still came in the late evening, like it always has, but like you said, it's now worthless! P.S. does the program actually connect you with an identifiable person at Ebay & w/their email addy? Someone you could contact if you have a real suggestion?

zoesamInteresting and disappointing that you're now getting the same worthless, inaccurate email that they send around here. No, the eBay Council doesn't include any special contact information. So far it's just an opportunity to take brief surveys.
