Depending on when you shipped it, it could still be at the PO. I would try calling the very first thing. It used to be they cleared out the PO each night but I don’t think it is the case anymore, especially now. My PO would never be that nice. Last night it dawned on me that both buyers bought the same vintage Barbie outfit from me. Buyer #1's outfit was on the way to buyer #2. So I asked buyer #1 if it would be ok for me to send the one that buyer #2 purchased to him and let buyer #1 keep the one that was on the way to him. He was ok with that. Buyer #2 was ok with it too. The first outfit was maybe slighty better than the 2nd. I don't think they could tell any difference unless they were side by side. If I had thought of this before I messaged them, I would have done the swap without even mentioning it. I added a couple little accessories to buyer #2's outfit. Both guys were nice about it so I'm hoping it all turns out ok. I'll have a late scan ding, but that's not a big deal after a major screw up.

Oh great & I just rec'd a survey from USPS on a case I opened for a Priority pkg. It was closed, but no one ever contacted me & the pkg has not moved at all. So now they're just ignoring cases! I had one post office contact me about a missing case. It was in Mississippi. The woman was very nice. All the other cases I opened were closed within a day or two. I got a form letter and then soon after I got a survey. I'm not wasting my time doing a survey that no one is going to pay attention to.

I got a form letter and then soon after I got a survey. I'm not wasting my time doing a survey that no one is going to pay attention to. I've never had one before that I wasn't called on. NEVER. I get the form letter, then the phone call usually within 1-2 days & it's not closed until it's truly resolved, then the closing & then the survey. I called this AM & they re-opened & escalated the case. He could see 1 entry that I could not, which was basically the "resolution" & said 'low staff due to COVID' or something like that.

My package that had I had mailed on 12/4 was finally delivered today. I had signed up for text alerts on this package. I got one today that it had been delivered. But I didn't get any when the package had started moving. I had been checking my stuck packages every day but I have slacked off on that recently. If I had known it was moving I would have alerted the buyer that it was coming. I sent her a message saying I see it was delivered. I asked her to either RTS the package or pay me for it. I think most people are honest, I'm hoping she is. Its $30 I had to refund out of pocket for a first class package.

I think USPS should make their sort center employees and trucking company employees work Monday to get these packages moving. They need to do something to catch up.

All hands on deck until things are caught up. I did notice I had some things scanned on Christmas so maybe they will work Monday too.

I just had a case opened b/c she didn't see the "Picked Up" (which is easy to miss) & didn't even think I'd mailed it. She sees it now & understands I've mailed it, but I had to tell her that hers was mailed on the 8th & I have ones from the 1st & 2nd that still haven't been delivered. I asked her to close the case, but IDK if she can even do that? Or if she's willing to.
I'm not bothering to open more cases b/c if it's gonna be anything like the 2 I already opened, nothing is happening b/c of it & I value my time more than that. I was just angry that they closed the one I'd opened without ever getting back to me. I've never had that. But I don't really see the point of opening cases on the others, it'd be a good 14 items or so.
Based on what happened w/the Xmas card I sent on the 24th, it's not even just pkgs, it's everything. Crazy!
ETA: Never mind my question, she closed the case.

I don't think the USPS cases are doing anything right now. I had 4 lost item claims opened, and they closed them within a day because they were still in the system, or I had requested a search on them. I always request an email response but 2 out of the 4 were phone calls by someone who had ESL, and the other 2 I had no response at all. All of mine from November have now been delivered.
Most of my "lost" packages were from Etsy and all but one of the buyers was fantastic. The single hold out just wasn't willing to wait and had to have a refund right away. It was finally delivered 5 weeks after I mailed it. She did ask how to repay for it.

I wish I would have changed to Fedex now, but this is way worse than I thought it would get, and I didn't want the post office suffering if too many people switched. Well, I've been saying 2020 hindsight is going to have an all new meaning after last year, and I think it applies here! And I guess the silver lining is that I haven't been having very many sales.

I've never seen mention of any missing mail search request in my tracking histories. I'd get a confirmation email and then an email when the case was closed because the item was delivered. I haven't opened any new cases since before Christmas. Also haven't been hassled by anyone new.

I mailed a book by media mail that was delivered after one month. I had opened a case and got a call from a nice woman who works at the PO in the small town in Maine. She told me that they don't deliver to that street address, but that the recipient has a PO Box. (That explains why I couldn't open the case online. I had to call because it wouldn't accept the address, although I was able to print the label). She called me back when the package was delivered. I communicated with the buyer, who has been very nice. (This was a book of Bible stories for children.) I don't know why the buyer didn't use the PO Box address for eBay.

My cases are always documented in the tracking history. I got a call back today on the one that was escalated, but the message is a bit of a garbled mess, so I have to listen to it again once I've woken up more. I tried to go look at the tracking history, but Ebay keeps giving me "Uh Oh" screens when I try to look at all my solds. Not a great start to the day. And I woke up to 2 price matching requests LOL.

So get this...local news report that our PO's & in Denver too, will be closing early on Saturday b/c of a "possible civil event". THey are taking this precaution, as well as removing multiple collection boxes (22 just in downtown Colorado Springs), due to "potential upcoming civil events".
So they're closing early before the holiday & removing a bunch of mailboxes. Seriously??? With all they have going on, this is ridiculous!!!

I checked two of mine that I know has lost mail cases open and there is any mention of one. I've honestly never seen this.

There is hope if you have missing packages! I ordered something and the seller sent it priority on December 22nd. It was scanned at the sort facility in Maryland and then nothing. However, this morning I got a text update that it arrived at the local sort facility! A few days short of a month for a priority package. Also, FYI, if you sign up for text alerts it texts you no matter the hour! I got a text at 1:01 AM with an update!

blissfullymiserable Maybe you're opening a different kind of case than I am. The website is very confusing as to the different kind of cases & what they want you to open first. Here's an example of one of mine. They always look like this, with both the opening & closing of the case & the case #. I never remember which type of case I'm opening though & IDK if I'm doing the right kind, but it seems to work sometimes. I am glad that all of my packages and bills have arrived. And now deliveries of packages are back to normal.
And my original lost $100 CC payment did arrive a month late. I am glad that I didn't stop payment.

The only 2 I know of are - one is for "Where is my Package" & the other is for Lost/Missing Pkgs. I do the Where Is My Package. I've done the Lost/Missing one before (which sounds like the one ur describing). I don't do that one b/c they want you to do the Where Is one first anyway, BEFORE doing the lost one (that's the message I got) & also b/c the Lost/Missing one takes much longer to fill out LOL. I do the quicker one & you can choose whether they should email you or call you. I always choose call & up until that weird one the other day, they have ALWAYS called me (it's the receiving PO who calls) & it shows the open case in the tracking, so the buyer can see it. I didn't know the other way doesn't show though, b/c I've only done that for a truly lost pkg. BTW, it helped the other day, I got great FB of how I tried to work out a USPS problem & how grateful she was. I'd never told the buyer, she must have seen it in the tracking.

Once again my eyeglasses may have shaken loose. Supposedly at my PO for delivery tomorrow. I won’t hold my breath.

I used to get a follow up call when I had cases open, always with in a day. It was usually from the location where the most recent tracking was. Never got one of those with any of the cases I opened. The only think I received were emails that my case was closed.

This buyer deserves an award for being the most patient. Mailed to Northhampton on 12/2 and received on 1/19. She never complained but did email a few times just to exchange sentiments about what was going on with usps.

Even new shipments are experiencing problems, unless the things I think got picked up yesterday were stolen before the PO got here. I did not get a confirmation of the pick up until about 10pm, which means they just go in and mark it as picked up even if it wasn't. There were 3 Posh items and 3 ebay items, and none of them have been scanned yet.

I'm still dealing with one from 1/2, a Priority pkg. But, things are suddenly way better. My last 2 FB have been for 'got here so quickly' & they were only 4 days or so in the mail. So hopefully that's a good sign, but I still have several outstanding pkgs from early January.
